Indeed you can. The diagnostic plugs are in the main fusebox on an ABY S2. Don't forget your 2x2 connector.

What is a 2x2 connector? I just have the usual obd connector.

Ah. Vag-Com won't be much use to you without the 2x2 adapter.

Well i drove the car yesterday!

Initially battery was flat but that didnt bother me as it showed me that the engine was cold and not started for a short while. Put a batt pack on, turn the key and it quickly started! I was so suprised as how quite the engine was considering! My V8 is noisy for a sec or two until the oil is pumped if stood for a week!

Few gentle taps on the revs, no smoke of any kind! exhaust sounds good too!

Sunroof is jammed? The motor tries to open it but can't. Not a major problem i dont think but stand to be corrected.

Let it warm up a bit before driving away. Brakes felt good after the rust was removed. The steering sometimes made a groan like it needs greasing somewhere (my S4 did the same thing!)

Then came the boost testing! initially after releasing the clutch, the car was slow until about 3k revs then woosh! it took off! again through the gears its slow then turbo kicks in. With it having a cone filter you can hear the recirc valve dumping the air back into the system. But also, when driving hard you can hear a slight whistle, again coming from air cone direction. Is that normal hearing this due to the cone? or is it the dreaded turbo whistle? I know you will get some kind of noise.

Braking from speed seemed a bit wobbly! maybe a ball joint worn but should be picked up on mot if anything wrong.

Have got a video clip of speedo but trying to convert and reduce the size so i can post it. Maybe you can judge from 0-60 if it seems about right? I didn't time it though. The car is possbily mapped to 280bhp! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4o_WA8QqbM Looking at the video, about 7secs 0-60
                            (sorry about the side view!)

He looked at my A8 and would do a straight swap!
