For the curious, the solution became a leftover hose-clamp tacked to a piece of exhaust-pipe with a lid...

Got one 3d-printed from a local guy,
a bit expensive, (500 NOK), but maybe possible to "print" more if needed

That's a great idea actually, I know someone that has access to a printer.
Might revisit this later on!
