And the same thing happens with houses, like it did in the 90s when the market crashed...
Obviously these cars will gain value, but the rate they're climbing at the moment is wildly disproportionate. Also all your value comparisons are Porsches (I'm including the RS2 there) or actual rally machines, not second cousins of a once world beating car.
As for old Fords, supply and demand, there are far fewer 70/80s Fords left than galvanised 90s Audis!

That might change when buyers have to settle for cheaper audis like the 2.8 and 2.6 V6 B4's. We already can see this with much higher values for type 85 coupe quattros small engined models compared to just 2 years ago.
Yes point taken and the reason why i said "most"! I actually sold a set of new mudflaps that i bought for my cortina Mk5 well over 20 years ago last year and they fetched £150 and went to a 1600i owner. Perhaps prices have rocketed but i have come across a few sellers by accident who have lots of really superb new stuff for peanuts compared to audi prices. Also you might know of them there is a site that sells this stuff like brand new engines again for peanuts.Wish i could give you the link but i never saved it.

IT isn't what's under the bonnet that's important. Commitment is everything!
