that ad says virtually nothing about the actual car for sale.... would find it hard to buy from a company naming itself 'Xclusive' also. Pretty sure ive seen that car for sale before....cant see that price being realised at all. Mind you it 'could' be thhe best one in existence i suppose ?

£40k and two **** pictures with a tree blocking one of them. Good luck with that, you'd have to be mad to make any assessment and decide to buy from those.

If thats the effort put into selling it, i hate to think how little was put into looking after it...

Well there is a few things to check from the last thread

Here is a list i drew up in just 15mins of seeing this car.

            RS2 issues I made a note of:

            Rear panels recently re sprayed

            Rear bumper badly cracked

Front bumper also bad damaged underneath.

Oil leak in several areas in engine bay bottom end area steering pump area etc

Rear passenger door paint coming off

            Engine Rubber seals loose

            Windscreen sills bubbling

            Front wheel arches have scuffs

Exhaust not sitting properly and rusting

            Battery too small for car

Drivers seat leather colour coming off

Steering wheel leather in bad condition

Rust on both sides of windscreen sills

            Half front nearside fog missing/broken

            Front calipers need refurb

Squeeking noise on start knackered pumps.

            Bonnet seals falling apart.

That was in 15mins. If i had an hour the list would b doubled,
And i didnt even take it for a drive!!

The whole car needs a respay, a proper one.
It needs a massive service and full check.
I would love to take it dialynx and get the check up bill!!
Its never been stored indoors and had dog hairs allover it.
He wasted my time i was expecting a mint example for top money.
Its over priced by miles which is cleverly done so when he knocks off £10k who wouldnt buy it.

I think imo he paid around £15k, and thats what its worth in its current condition.
I made him a great offer of £22k he should have taken it!
Im sorry mate but you r not an enthusiast and yes u r a trader!!

Glws, i am sorry for the honest buyers.

seems to be a running theme with this car, sure it is an RS2 and as such is a desirable and rare car, but,as said the appalling adverts dont help it at all. It would undoubtedly sell in the current climate with a sensible ad with good pictures etc, oh and a realistic price ! I looked at the last thread and link to the then Ebay ad, the seller relisted the car under the headline 'massive price reduction as after talking to experts we realised the car was overpriced' That was at 34k if i recall.....so overpriced then yet still gone up to 40k? Not for me......ahhhm ooot !!

Every time it gets passed to a new owner £10,000 gets added to the price and no work gets done. Quick someone buy it before it becomes £100,000

I forgot to post the in my initial post...I didn't personally want to start the

Piss take really... £40 k is the highest asking price so far for an RS2. A better condition/ lower mileage one will no doubt achieve that...
All good for S2 residuals as well... Just need a few articles to get out about the unknown gem it is... Rs2's little brother

Youd think by now he'd learnt something. The pics are even worse than before.
The write up has been copied off wikipedia lol!!!

I have done some more digging up and managed to trace the previous ownerwho owned it.
It was an elderly lady who dint have time or money and said it was sitting there for years.

Also that it needed alot of money on it so she decided to let it go cheap!
I wasnt going to mention it but now hes just taking the piss!! From 34k to 40k!!!
Its goto be a mint low mileage showroom condition for that price.

You wont believe how much this guy paid??!!

                          She sold it for £15500!!!!

Will someone please go and see this rs2!!! And then give him a slap!!!

                            LOL....

Some people are just r-soles who look at the mumbers...
Probably looking at the one that sold on here for near 35k, and thinks because his is also an rs2 its worth that, and chancing his arm for more...with the market rising.

Takes piss though when it appears he's selling a turd.

I really dont understand all the anger and abuse that you lot are giving, i have also been following this sale since the first time it came on moths ago, what any owner thinks his car is worth is entirely up to him as you know it will only sell for what its really "worth". To start running people down and name calling is all a bit like envy from the play-ground, which i have noticed is nothing new on this forum as i have seen in other threads.

All you RS2 owners should be happy that prices are finally on the rise, in keeping with the rest of the classic market, but i feel most of the hatred and negativity that i see on here is coming from non-RS owners. I doubt very much if any of you have been to see the car since it was last on ebay so you dont know if any work has been done to justify a price increase, ok its not the best advert and there are a few flaws in it but just let the sale run and see how it goes. I dont see your worth in running it down and throwing abuse at the owner who you probably dont even know, perhaps if you did know him and he was a regular on here you wouldnt do it.

I find club forums very strange places at times and this is one of them....
