While there is some validity to your points rusty, when someone like that is clearly taking the p**s it kind of gets your goat, if you know what I mean.

That advert has all the tell-tale signs.

The anger is people being dishonest and wasting peoples time. Yes we are all happy the audi are on the rise. I am extremely happy as i own an s2 and rs2. But this guy wasted my time. He is not an audi enthusiast or owner, he is a dodgy trader trying to rip someone off. But audi guys are way too smart. So i didnt want to anyones elses time get wasted or taken for a mug like i did.

Maybe if you goto see it for yourself you would agree with me. Nothing strabge here bud. Ive owned many s2 and rs2. Also know many forum members in person and the specialist. Most of them agree with me. I am entitled to my opinion as you are especially as i have seen the car.

Just warning the members as they deserve to know, you are welcome to view it.

Have a great sunday, All the best.

Good post and surely no one can argue with that ? This is a forum for enthusiasts and if somebody has a valid opinion on a car, which in this case it totally is as he has seen the car in question, then I for one am glad to have a potential heads up so as not to waste my time. Not sour grapes at all as far as I'm concerned, its about time these cars shared a bit of fortune and fame in the world of classic cars, long may it continue. The rub is that because of that very same scenario the 'chancers' come out also.

To start running people down and name calling is all a bit like envy from the play-ground, which i have noticed is nothing new on this forum as i have seen in other threads.

All you RS2 owners should be happy that prices are finally on the rise, in keeping with the rest of the classic market, but i feel most of the hatred and negativity that i see on here is coming from non-RS owners. I doubt very much if any of you have been to see the car since it was last on ebay so you dont know if any work has been done to justify a price increase, ok its not the best advert and there are a few flaws in it but just let the sale run and see how it goes. I dont see your worth in running it down and throwing abuse at the owner who you probably dont even know, perhaps if you did know him and he was a regular on here you wouldnt do it.

I find club forums very strange places at times and this is one of them....
As a relatively new member ( some have been here many, many years, and had Rs2's /S2's before the recent bandwagon rolling along) you'll soon see how this forum works.
It's arguably the/one of the best out there for its knowledge and community spirit.

Someone very knowledgeable has been to see said car -see previous thread on it - so the heads up is worthwhile. The thing you could debate is whether the vendor has had any of the work done to justify (imo) the tag of being the most expensive rs2 in recent years.

As notorious states rather aptly, is that there are a lot of chancers out there...
You, Rusty, are also correct in stating that a vendor can ask whatever they like for their car... However rather like r-soles , everyone has one, and everyone has an opinion and are entitled to it, which is why there is a healthy discussion on it here..

If it sells happy days all round, if it doesn't, there must be a reason why...
A comparable may be buying a house; first reason it might not sell is that it's overpriced, followed by condition/faults/repairs...

I suppose the word "some" is not as bad as "a lot" but still, makes me wonder why you bother using the forum.

Loving the irony though. You are quite right about not struggling to spot the undesirables. I enjoy that same skill.

That is good humour which i quite enjoyed and a fine example of not needing to direct expletives to get your point across

But you already are and it will help increase your post count.

Anyhow, this is a fine foil to the PGA champs which have too many commercial breaks for my liking

Not relevant whatsoever, merely a factual observation.

The golf is great. Almost as good as the Open at Troon.

Pleased to see you have cleaned up your posts. They teach me not to swear at school.

Did i mention i fish as well. Caught me some good ones lately.

"they teach " interesting tense. As i thought.
