But you implied that i am still at school and how do you know i only have one teacher?

Surely not more assumptions like your earlier thoughts on the community here? Tut tut.

i implied nothing of the sort,it was you that used present tense to say "they teach" you in school, one teacher ? surely "they" implies more than one ?
As for my "assumptions ", no,that is my opinion.
I could debate longer with you but that would be bad form on someone elses thread, and wouldnt want to deprive you from watching the golf.

In the scheme of things it's quite small nowadays. Not all fisherman tell lies only the stereotypes.

Why make school holiday comment then? It is exactly what you were implying.

My use of tense was perfect. Still being at school, i have many teachers. So, to summarise, i am currently at school (present tense) and have more than one teacher, all of whom encourage me not to swear

                    It really is quite clear.

My school holiday comment was simply a matter of fact (fact being it is indeed the school holidays ) rather like your comment re: post counts. That is also really quite clear. In fact your post makes your comments an awful lot clearer to me now.

                        Morning

Nice edit. You didn't correct everything entirely though did you?

This will be my last post as I am late for class but I thought (having now had my fun) I would take the opportunity to explain myself a little better, as it is obviously not sinking in.

The post count comment is actually relevant. You see the forum you have at your fingertips and no doubt are able to make use of, has been put together over a number of years by some hardy souls and then added to by even more people, most of whom have spent many an hour documenting their work and helping others to achieve similar goals. Many friendships have been brokered and historically a lively amount of banter has been enjoyed that in my opinion, made this the best forum online that I had used.

A history such as this develops loyalty and a feeling of belonging, so I think it is understandable that I (and no doubt a few others) took offence to your comments. The fact is that before you had even made it to double figures post count wise, you were happy to brand some forum members as "a3seholes"

I would imagine some people are sat in the shadows agreeing with me and there will be some who do not. That is normal in life but I tend not to be able to sit by and have people come out with such bunkum without due recourse. In my opinion, it was worth defending even if it fell on deaf ears.

By its very nature, this forum is a sharing community. Note the word "community"

I cannot imagine many of these "a3seholes" wanting to share much with you but they will not have that choice, as you are free to peruse the high quality information on this site, whilst making silly comments. People tend not to be banned and this is right. The forum self polices itself in a wonderful way, such is the written word.

I think we can all live with that safe in the knowledge that another RS owner will be helped greatly with the maintenance of his/her vehicle but one thing you cannot control is how people take your comments. That will be up to individual.

I really must go now or I will be late and end up in detention.

Until someone presses the eject button, I will pop back in to my box.

See post number 20.... That was were some people on here were called ****holes. I responded to that in much the same way you have, albeit not by jumping onto my high horse/ fallen out of my pram as you seem to have done.
A spectacular miss by yourself ( and one for which you will surely be marked down for) for your information , I have been a member on this very forum for well over a decade now ( problems logging in meant a new user name ...) so thank you for explaining your thoughts on the forum etiquette, but, continuing the theme, I really don't need a lecture from you ( although it would appear some would benefit from further lessons. You can no doubt think on this in your next lesson break...

Right - this thread is becoming increasingly tiresome... all of the one-up-man-ship needs to stop.

I would also like our newest members to show a little more respect in the forum... this isn't your normal car owners forum where stupid / shouty / name-calling & nit-picking behaviour will score you points, credibility or likes of any sort. The internet is awash with other car forums if thats how you like to behave.
