It was bloody freezing this morning and my light stayed on for a few seconds then went out so i guess it needs to be very cold.
I did notice though that it was flashing for a while straight after i did that fueling adjustment in vag-com but then went off.

I'm going to do some tests on min ein the morning as I think I know why it doesn't come on. It won't explain why it comes on when I'm driving though. That's got everyone stumped.

Jason is itching to try out the 110hp injectors tomorrow night so I will rport any further progress on the judder problem at the weekend.

          Hi guys,
I have this idling issue and juddering too with a 80 that I just bought.

Can someone tell me where the speed sensor is on the gear box so that I can take it off and see if it helps?

THe main issue on 1Z engine is that injection pump had that electronic throttle. IN that there are 2 magnets that attract small bits of iron that passed the fuel filter. You need to dismandle that part of you injection pump ( it will take like 10 minuntes to take it out ) and clean that bits of iron. After you put it back you need to adjust the iddle quantity of fuel . If you have more question ask.

P.S.: Till now i think i had fixed at least 20 pumps with this issue.

Do you have any pictures or a 'how to' guide?
Also how do you adjust the idle?
              Cheers.

I didn't make any tutorial for this because is very tricky to do this and i rate this at 8/10 difficulty.

I think the simple way is like this . I will provide you the instructions to take out the electronic accleration or quantity adjuster thing you will post it to me . I will make it and i will send to you back . For putting back you need a VAG COM/ VCDS . You have ?

                      Again guys,
I need to get the car running by Friday so any help would be great.
The EGR has been blanked off.
Interested in this speedo sensor if it is a 'quick fix' until I can sort it out properly.
I have a spare car sat next to it that I can take things off but it looks slightly different. Both 1Z engines but one has a filiment type MAF (the car I am fixing) and the other has a flappy paddle type (spare car). The injector pumps and fuel filter are slightly different too. Can I swap things over from one to the other or will this cause problems?

                      Cheers for any input.

Did you try disconnecting the speed sensor? its on the side of the gearbox above the driveshaft.
