Time until available as per Paul's timescale, however.... I don't think much testing time is needed with this part to be honest so we should go ahead with them straight away. For £12 all in, its a simple mod, should perform better and let's face it, the snub needs replacing sooner or later, so lets go with them. That'll help Doug for sure, whilst he's still got his front end off!!

Paul, I reckon we should get a batch made up now mate!! Can you say yes to them please and get a batch run off, can you handle this this please as I'm not going to be around much soon!!

@ Sal, Lee covered this perfectly. What you could do maybe.... is to loosen the aux rad bottom mounts, push the rad back and then unbolt the snub mount 'frame' on the back of the x member. Looson the x member and that might.... give you enough room to pull the old one off and fit the new one?? To be honest, it's a simple task to unbolt the cross member and swap this part!

@ Doug, yes, it fills up the bracket a lot better than the old one! movement is going to be less for sure! it's not touching the bracket, about 5-8 mm of space either side of the snub to bracket, which is a lot less then the stock one!

@ Greg, yes! the bracket has two elongated slots in it, so you can adjust height and 'twist' of the bracket. I set mine to the closest, even, gaps all around the new snub.

Paul, give them a call Monday and get a batch made.

            Hi Timucin,

The snub mount is there to stop the engine rocking around. it is like a front engine locater for when the engine drops or rises during heavy gearchanges.

It depends if you drive like a nun or a devil... If it wobbles too much and looks worn out dump it.

I'd like to get one of these.
Is the material improved over the stock unit? I thnk that would help as well.
Anyway, where do I direct the funds?

                    Thanks

                      Yup sure, doesnt take long.

Just take the mount off fit new mount then bolt back on car and adjust the bracket.

well its that easy if u dont have aircon

going to be having a word with powerflex to mod the snub mount since mine doesnt fit quite right at the moment, had aircon fitted to mine originally and it sits about 5-10mm too far forward so doesnt sit on the bracket on the x member quite right.

                          will keep people posted though.

When i spoke to them they said it would mean a total redesign to modify it.

So when i get a chance im gonna take the one off thats on there at min, stick it on a lathe and make the hole about 5mm deeper so it doesnt pop around the bracket and give that a try. In the mean time gonna do the rear diff mount because think that may be part of the problem. If that solves it the snub mount will stay as it is. Need to get rid of the unknowns first.
