Car doesn’t dive onto the outside front as much with quick turn in, i found it actually dialled out the understeer and made it more neutral on the limit.

If we could get them a loan of a stock S2 and a RS2 front bar to play with i'm confident they would find it works far better

What you do is to use the swaybar to compansate for soft springs/dampers. A stiff swaybar will limit the outside dive(sway ) , but what you really need is stiffer springs/dampers. Stiff swaybar with soft springs isn't the best setup. Stiff springs with std swaybar is better, and if really going for it use rock hard springs/dampers with stiffer swaybars. What's difficult is finding the right combination. Going "over the top" with just one component in the suspension is just like choosing the race cam at the bottom of the list and use it in a stock engine: no good at all

Sorry that was a bit confusing, i'm running that setup with Koni's and H&R's. I did try with stock spings and konis and it worked well too.

Your setup will be OK, but would be even better with stiffer springs/dampers and std FARB

A stiffer FARB will limit sway, but will get you more understeer. Stiffer springs will also greatly reduce bodyroll, but without getting you more understeer.

Did you test your setup at a track? Not really safe to test fully on the road
I used my car at trackdays and it was "all over the place". Replaced what I thought was std suspension, but was yellow konis with some lowering springs, with rock hard springs and modified Bilstein dampers. Std FARB and Whiteline RARB with another hole drilled for even stiffer setting on dry surface, softer setting when wet. A dream on the track, but comfort on uneven surfaces is "a bit" poor (This is my everyday car, but nothing comes for free. Both comfort and handling isn't easy to get )
Changed the bushings for poly ones and mounted subframes solidly with alu bushings. A bit more camber then max std settings, some R-tyres and turn in became razor sharp. Nothing like the "sloppy" feeling a stock Audi gives you.

Guess it all depends on what you want to do, two different schools of thought here. Billies are a firmer shock than konis and no question would be better suited to track conditions, same for firmer spings. I setup mine more for cross country blasts on some very twisty bumpy roads, more of a rally setup than track. Roll bars stop the body roll and suspension keeps the wheels on the gound

Mine is excellent when speed gets above 130-150km/h. The everything smooth's out At lower speeds your setup is more comfy

..., but the antirollbars works against the suspension. In a corner the suspension will try to keep the inner wheel on the ground and ARB will try to lift it......

I just bought an RS2 sway bar for 100 euro. I also bought a large assortment of RS2 axles. I was planning to run a standard 26mm CQ 7A US spec FARB in the rear with later build us 2 pc. uprights (already on car as I have the 14mm rear or so) with the RS2 FARB in front car will be running massive 255 tires on 17 by 9j wheels with 350 front and 400 rear springs with custom koni shocks. Hows that sound for a street setup?

I might be interested in the whiteline unit, but the RS2 unit was way to good a deal to pass up.

Sorry for the delay in responding chaps, I've been busy.....

If people could send me a PM if they are potentially interested in a 'replacement RS2' front anti roll bar. If you could specify if you want it the same or harder or softer. This wopuld eb the best way to collect data.

Price is still unknown of course....

Once I know the numbers then we could proceed.

Isn't it better to go through a local distributor of Whiteline parts already known to this forum - no disrespect to you David for starting this, but I think that Whiteline will be a lot more likely to do it if there are official channels involved.

But perhaps a show of hands is enough to get a ball park price - that will be a key factor for a lot of folk.

26mm RARB will be a bit hard I guess, but try it and change for softer if to much oversteer.
255 on 9j wheels will rub won't it?

                              i'm in!

This sounds like a great plan, I'd want an adjustable one if possible, the s2+, rs2, rs2+ setup sounds good, but i would still want one if its non-adjustable

                              nice one guys

I'll start the ball rolling in the morning, aside from the benefit of it being adjustable (if that is what people require) it should also work out considerably cheaper than the RS2 FARB.
