You can only really remove the ARBs if you have a really stiff set of springs on there, not worth it otherwise. If you go for one of the more mental RARB options (coupe) then it's pretty good I've got a 25mm bar, as has Error

ARBs are a balancing tool primarily, an anti roll tool secondly. It's important to set up the suspension with that in mind. Fatter RARB's will improve handling, but you can only do so much to cover up other fundamental weaknesses on the handling with a RARB before you start to ****** up other factors on the rear. I.E. using very stiff ARBs on the front and the rear with soft springs won't work for example!
I have sent them an email tonight with the hope of getting this up and running now i have a bit of time on my hands. Has anyone got a used Front and rear anti roll bar knocking about i can give to them to use as a guide? Also what thickness should i suggest for the ideal set up? I will try them on my car if they can make these and post pics up. Hopefully they will be able to give us another alternative and a cheaper one to

Steve i have a Ffront and rear ARB you are welcome to for free, but i'm quite a way from you.
I think you want an RS2+ spec front and a rear to balance it and cancel a bit of the inherant Audi understeer, maybe a 30mm front and 24mm back would be a rough balance perhaps?

Way to big.
If you don't want understeer leave front standard increase the back.
Increasing the front though reduces bodyroll and I found when I did my Coupe you either put them on at the same time or just do the rear.
I had a whiteline / rs2 combo and also did a rs2 upfront by itself ( which was horrid )
@Jamo, what would u suggest the thickness of the two bars should be? Be good to hear from the people that have used various set ups so we can get a general idea of what the best set up would be.

Well the stock is what 24mm at the front RS2 is 27mm of the top of my head.
You've got no reason to go bigger than RS2 at front, the bigger you have at front the more you have to have at rear to balance it out putting your subframe undermore stress.
Just try upgrading the rear 1st then add the front later.
If you got a Coupe get a Whiteline, Avant Neuspeed.
How thick is the whiteline rear anti roll bar? My thinking behind being a guinea pig for ESP is the options of the Whiteline RARB and the RS2 FARB seem expensive to me. If they can make something that does the same job if not better and cost less then its a win win situation. The rs2 FARB seems to have been a tried an tested method so i think i will suggest 27mm to them for the front.

Whitelines are for pussies
well i have tried a 25mm rear bar which is fun but perhaps a bit much for most people (except Andy Casey ) also on the stock 26mm S2 FARB.
AFAIK the RS2 front bar is 28mm, to which most poeple think the whiteline is a good upgrade at IIRC 19mm.
I for one don't want to run mega stiff springs on the road and would rather run proper size ARBs to couteract body roll in these heavy cars.
My mate runs a 30mm bar up front on his RX7, which is a much much lighter car and handles immeasurably better than an S2, so i'd say its not too stiff if set up right
I have had a reply from ESP and once i get hold of the anti roll bars they are happy to give it a go. So ill suggest the front 28mm (same as the rs2) and the rear 20mm (whiteline gives the effect of a 20mm bar apparently) What do u guys think before i email them back?

I think 28mm front and 20mm rear is a good starting point... There needs to be a few adjustment points.
I'd say that the medium setting on the front should be comparable to RS2 - then one adjustment either way makes it slightly stiffer or softer than that.
For the rear, I'd suggest the least stiff setting is a bit more than stiffest setting on the whiteline rear bar... Then have two adjustments which make it even more stiff at the rear.
