Samco Hoses for 3B Engines

OK - we are off and running now - after much delay - I have the quotes back from Samco and can tell you that the price of an entire set of SIX turbo hoses on the 3B engine will be £210 including VAT.

I don't yet have sample set from Samco - that will be 6-8 weeks from receipt of my order. I need to raise the funds for the tooling, so if anyone wants to make a deposit (say £50) on their hoses in good faith then that's great for me.

In the meantime, please PM me with your REAL name and COLOUR choice for the hoses (Black, Blue, Red, Green, Purple or Yellow). You will be able to order partial sets - details and pricing per hose to follow.

Please don't clutter up this thread with messages saying - me in Blue - send me a PM and advise if you'd like to pay a deposit first.

Lead time is going to be 6-8 weeks on the first set for test fitting on Mik's car (his was the donor) then 6-8 weeks on the batch after I have ALL the funds in place from each of you. I can eat the tooling cost for now, but I can't eat the costs for a large batch - funnily enough.

would this include a pipe to go over the intercooler-crossmember joint where that dodgy little O ring is that doesnt do much for very long?

NO - the O-ring mod pipe is a standard sized 70-60mm reducer that gets cut to size. I haven't bothered to get a custom hose made for that.

Come on folks - I thought there'd be loads of 3B owners after these hoses. I need at least ten people interested for the purchase to go ahead, but realistically need twenty to hold the price at 210 per set.

No - the hoses aren't made yet. They will only fit stock applications like the factory shaped hoses. The Samco items will be identical replicas - made in Silicone rubber of course.

There is still a distinct lack of interest on this GP - maybe its the nice weather these days !

My intake system has changed somewhat now with my i/c so the only pipe which will fit is the one onto the throttle boby, so pretty much rules me out of this.

Hi all,

I'm really really sorry but i have now minus 800 euro's on my bank account, because of some stuff had to be done (timing belt, paint job etc.)

After a few weeks work in the vacation i will have the money but don't know if there is much time. Thought maybe we can make an order after a few months from now for the people who are still don't sure if they want samco's and for the people who don't have the money yet.

Can't wait to see how they look on our cars though!!
