Pillar Drill and a good selection of clamps I really cant see it being that difficult to machine to be honest.

I will be making the order at the end of the month, so could i have details and names for people who want a manifold, please PM me.

I have 5 definates so far which equates to £324 per manifold shipped.

I only thought you were interested if it was a finished manifold Paul, name is on the list

I have emailed Carsten about the lead time if i place the order on the 1st of december.

I dont think i can get them any cheaper and trust me i have tried to screw him down on the price but he's not budging, If i can get another 5 definates the price of the manifolds will be £315 shipped, which is cheap enough in my opinion,

Jon the finishing is optional for those who haven't the equipment to do so.

The buyers simply state whether they want it finishing or not by Corey.

Hows about a list of the correct sized manifold studs, nuts and all the other bits and pieces necessary to productise this into some sort of kit. Dare say we can get best prices for everything in QTYs of 10.

Can somebody explain the nature of mods needed to S2 x-member - other than removing the pressure pipe - does it need cut back somehow to make room for a hose connection direct from the intercooler ?

As for the hose from intercooler to manny - do we have any pics to give us an idea what is required ?

O.K i need to go back to Corey on whats required on the manifold

This is what i've picked up on, if Twoqu and DJones could comment please.

Twoqu have you got any screenshots of the manifold flange showing the modifications you made?

                1) 3 vacuum lines are the back of the manifold to be installed and 1 at the front for DV

                2) Milling / Grinding of flange to clear water manifold.

                3) Welding of ISV connector on front of manifold

                4) Fuel rail holes drilled and tapped

                5) Provision for dipstick

                6) throttle cable flange welded on to hold cable

                7) Earth strapps

                8) Throttle Cable wheel

                9) Custom Logo and Powder coating (optional)

Pictures or Twoqu Wagner manifold and DJones wheel

Good idea on the 7A x-member...

Looks to me like the hose could be made from a couple standard Samco pieces (90 or 45 degree bends) and maybe a short stainless section of tube to link them. May not be worth the time and hassle of getting a custom made 1-piece hose if thats the case.

                    Cheers,

70mm samco pieces should do it i think

                              Ok heres my 2p's worth!
Firstly the manifold needs to be configured for the body type! This has implications for the intergration of the plumbing and throttle cable. For example I put the ISV port at the front because I was duplicating another set up I knew worked. Now it might be be better to intregrate the ISV at the rear. Having said that, MTM put it at the front! Might be useful to investigate whether that particular pipe is available as a part. I drew a blank and used something else.
Another example is that I put all my take offs at the back. As I was not going to use the carbon cannister I didn't put a take off in. I also did not put a fitting at the front of the manifold for the dump valve!
It might be necessary to machine the first flange to clear the power steering bracket that attaches to the head on some models. Something that is now evident to me looking at the pic of my manifold!
I think DJones has welded a patch onto his manifold, albeit very neatly, to mount the throttle cable bracket. Another alternative might be to have someone knock up some alloy threaded bosses that could be tacked on at the various places necessary. I think I'm right in saying that on the 3B the dipstick is not attached to the inlet whilst on the ABY is it. Then there is the fuel rail and regulator mounting differences.I know this is all small stuff but better to discuss it now!
Unfortunately until you know exactly what you are getting its going to be difficult to comment further. I guess someone will need to take a lead in the development for an S2 fitment to save duplication of effort.
At the end of the day it is really quite a good price!
