It doesn't look like the quality control is too good at L&S - if you remember, mine also had a casting imperfection (in my case, I could grind out the defect), I was in the first batch.

After you raising it with them, they did tell you they would be more careful with the controls...

Yes I remember, and I also mentioned this for L&S and they checked the current batch.

This is a new batch and I guess it has imperfections as well.

As I said before I have no issue raising this with L&S and see if we can them exchanged if people want this.

That is the reason why I asked for a close up.

I can tell L&S to check them better but I have no control over what they ship out in the end.

Problems with manifolds

Since it seems more people are affected, and again I'm sorry about this.

If you have casting or machining issues and what an exchange please let me know per PM.

L&S Cartec will exchange casting affected manifolds, and they are getting a new batch end of may so it wont be before then.

L&S Cartec can get machining problems fixed and there is no time frame on this. They just need the manifold and then there CNC shop will fix it.

However you have to pay for the return shipping, I'm sorry but I cant seem to get him to bodge on this. I'm trying but i'm not really getting anywhere.

As mentioned by PM, I am happy with mine as long as it wont cause me any issues.

I assume, once a new turbo-manifold gasket goes on, it will be fine.
I assume the defect wont lead to any blowing, or premature cracking...

Does anyone have any comments?

hey, what horse power would this manifold enable the car to get? what increases / benefits would one recieve by installing this? Just curious ..

Hi Chris, from my limited knowledge. Cylinders 1 & 5 wont suffer like they would if you are running a standard AAN/ABY/3B exhaust manifold at high boost levels.
The exhaust could more than likely flow >500bhp (at a guess).

Perfectly acceptable for my RS2'd S4.
