to give you an idea of timescales involved with the ABY hoses it was initially suggested when we were using the yahoo group which was about 18months ago. The first delivery of samcos should be in about 6-8weeks.

So we are looking at March, 2005....perfect for me as the 20vt won't be in the coupe until then.
I have a question regarding the hoses though. The S2 intercooler inlet points towards the side of the car, but the RS2 intercooler points towards the turbo. Will this Samco set up be have the necessary bends? One bend immediately out of the turbo and then bent again to hook up to the intercooler?
On a side note, anyone have a source for the turbo to intercooler hose? I also like to see a picture if anyone has one. Isn't it shaped like a "C"?

I cant comment on the shape of the 3B hoses. But with ABY ones swapping to RS2 IC you can keep the same pipe from turbo to IC.
There are some pics of pipes for the ABY's in the ABY samco thread.

If you are desperate for a turbo to intercooler hose you can make one with 2off 45degree silicon hoses and 1off metal t piece - I did this on mine and it is an excellent fit.S2,RS2,S4 WB,RS4,S4 B8,RS6 C5,RS6 C6,R8Comment

Indeed - what's the latest? How much would it cost for a 3b? How much of a PITA is it to re-fit all these hoses? How many of them are there?Ex S2 owner, now running around in an A4 Avant quattro...
