Set of Avus done now. These are Paulgo's to go on his pearl white 3B recently bought off Tina (girlracer) My Avus wheels I took off for the cups will be next, to be used as winter wheels.
Again not as hard as you would think. Sprayed with OEM "Avus silver" paint which I have also used to spray mine "again" (wasn't convinced with the original paint colour I choose)
Paint code for future ref is; "LLS 0M6 Z17"

well to be honest any finish lol - have 8 in my garage (we won't go into why LOL) but i want to get them cleaned up and then sell them thorugh the forum or via ebay..... wont fit on my car as i have 18's and 996/a8 discs.

Yeah, I'd have a go. Could get them "nigh" on back to original finish. Obviously can't do the diamond turned rim edge bit as I have no diamonds But I could possibly polish it instead. I'll have some to practice on soon when Paulgo gets his Avus on.

I can certainly vouch for an absolutey great job done!! They look mint and Im chuffed to bits, cant wait to get them on the S2 hopefully tomorrow

So quite a transformation - one even had a bloody great chunk out of it!! The original Avus paint looks great too. Pity my camera desont pick up all the silver in the piant!

Well the tyres have done 4 trips to the alps and back and been fabulous, this last trip in very heavy wet snow was the first time i had to consider chains so they are dead now but for the moey they were a bargain!!!!!!!!

Rims have sat in the garage since the tyres came off them...... Apart from a clean and lacquer they are in great shape, no dings anywhere

i've got five avus rims which need doing ... i payed £70 for them

Came from Audi themselves mate. Vagparts can't send paint through the post
£11 will get you a pack which contains one tin of base silver (150ml) and a tin of lacquer (150ml)
Paul bought four packs, so £44 to do the wheels. I had one tin of lacquer left.

Glad to hear you got some use out of them. They would still be in the back of my garage if you hadn't bought them. No way am I taking my S2 down to the alps to be left in a pile of snow, have skis leant against and then crashed into by the snowplough!

LOL i'd love to drive my S2 down there, 9 hours speeding along smooth motorways followed by mountain roads which i know like the back of my hand and then up to Les Saisies which has the biggest car park i know with no thing in the middle to stop you doing huge drifts etc

Actually would love to go down during one summer and drive over the cols.......great views and awesome roads
