    First remove the wheel:

Next loosen the two bolts that holds the caliper:

Next I decided to squeze and then cut the old hardline:

Now use a 11 top and wrench to get hardline free from the brakeline:

Now remove the caliper bolts and remove the caliper:

Now beat/bend the dust cover a bit. I used a rubber hammer to give it a trashing so it will clear the disc:

Now it is time to trial fit the disc, I used the black plastic pin as a guide and then use two wheel bolts to tighten the disc to the hub:

If it clears the dust cover then use mount the caliper bracket using the short RS2 caliper bolts:

Now before mounting the caliper, remember to remove 1mm from each pin!

Now trial fit the caliper to see if the pins clear the disc:

If i does then use a spacer or a washer between the caliper and the RS2 bracket to get the caliper to clear the 323x30 disc. I decided to use washer that was 2.9mm thick that fits an M12 bolt:

Next take off the caliper and take the plasctic off the damping plates and then mount the porsche textar pads in the caliper:

Now remember to push the pistons all the way in because if you dont it will look like this, which is rahter thigh:

However when the pistons have been pushed all the way in this will give you enough room so the caliper with pads can slide over the disc without any problems:

Remember to thighten the caliper bolts really thight!

Next step is to secure the pads using the porsche spring and pin mounting kit. Simply push down the spring and push the pin in. Remember to secure the pins using the small clip.

Now mount the RS2 hardline, first thing is to mount the rubber fitting where the old hardline was:

Now use the clip and mount the RS2 hardline to the old brake line:

As you can see on the picture the RS2 hardline is a bit off, so you need to bend it gently so you can mount it in the caliper:

Now you are all done and you just need to mount the wheel and bleed the caliper.

However Iam a bit unsure how you bleed the fluid, I will try this next week so if anybody has any suggestions that would be nice.

A couple of extra pictures of rim and caliper:

Well the alloys are actually getting sold, becuase the inside of the rim and the caliper is to close. I decided to get my old RH ZW5 rims refurbed instead. They have much better clearence.

Can the rs2 hardline be used also with stock S2 brakes?

I would say no, because the outlet on the s2 caliper is all wrong. You have to do some serious bending to get it to work. So I would say no no

Very good write up! May I ask you why you use the washer? I have mounted several 996 calipers, and none of them are too close to the disc (I also use Zimmermans 323mm and RS2 caliper adapters). What I also did different is that I took off 2mm from all pins instead of 1mm as you suggest. O yes, and I would advice to replace the old rubber S2 brake lines as well and get a nice pair of Goodridge flex brake lines.

Nevertheless very good use of pictures to explain everything!
