Very NICE project
The reason of a other rev meter is that you're rpm signal was to low for the stock meter???
I had the same problem.
But fixed it by a special relai.

Thanks Jaap, though not sure what you are referring to?
When u use a ABY/AAN/ADU Ecu en engine, you don´t get the rev signal from the ingition coil but from the ECU.
The signal from the ecu is not strong enough to feed the rev meter in a analoge dash.
When the engine runs idle ther is no problem, but if you rev to 2000 rpm the needle drops down.
The meter expects a signal 80v signal.
Sorry for my poor english, but this is what i ment.
Djones have you got more info on that dash,... do they do a rev counter that goes to 10000rpm??
As I need to do something with the rev counter I may aswell match the speedo at the same time
Jay
Jay,
Its basically a coupe binnacle with the original rev counter and speedo removed, the clock just and i mean just fit in without destroying the binnacle.
Not sure if they do one up to 10k. I got them both out of the Demon Tweeks Motor-sport catalogue.

Can get you a better picture if it helps?
Darren.
Do you have any pictures of the car with a loaf of bread on the dash?

You might have to explain this for everybody else, they'll think I've got barking mad
If you'd seen some of the s**t that people do post on PH you'd know why sometimes they are a little sceptical. I'm just glad you shut them up
Are we all siting comfortably...
On PH's you have to take a picture of your car with a bowl of custard or a loaf of bread on the bonnet.. then post the picture to prove you own the car..
Probably my own fault as i didn't want to tell them it was mine but felt obliged in the end, anyway i was so distrusted one chap wanted me to take a picture of a loaf of bread on the dash with the picture being taken through the windscreen. Suppose to ensure it is not a photo shopped picture..
PH Forums are full of fannies...Not my scene at all..
It is an interesting place, I'll give you that. I used to go on there quite a lot and then got fed up with the very very cliquey nature of the place.

Did'nt T2Andy have a run in with that lot, think someone stole pictures of his car & claimed it was theirs.!
Then they went through the loaf of bread saga.
Turned out to be a complete geeky dreamer, i'm sure it was Andy it was posted here a little while before crimbo, he was well rumbled.....T**t.
I thought the T2Andy incident was on the Corrado owners club or something...
