Newb question, when you had the engine failure after installing the 3076, was the problem generated by the turbo vs stock engine?

I'm considering a KKK hybrid based on the GT2871 (034 motorsport), and I really don't want to open up the engine... I want to crack the 400HP mark

No, the problem was entirely human. The engine was far from 100% shape after a trip to a local tuner, and that does not go well with a heavy right foot. Long story short.

I think your surge for the KKK hybrid will work out well. The engine should manage that if you get a proper tuner to map your ecu for it. There is a lot of diffrent views on what the stock internals can take and not take, but most agree on the 430hp @ crank mark, so i belive you would do off fine.
Anyway, there is alot of threads on here about the subject, so I advice you to do a search, make some coffe, and read all you can.

Anyways, finally got all parts for the final delivery of the engine tomorrow (thanks Breitling), but yesterday I got the word that the engine cant be deliverd until the 28th of dec, and I cant start to build it myself as the crank and cluch needs balancing together.
Looks like murphy, the guy with the laws, just sitting on the fence, laughing and pointing at me.

On top of it all, the roof in the garage has been rebuild, leaving all cars, tools and gear cleard out. Finally this was finished yesterday, so no more excuses.
But, non the less, this gives me even more time to detail the small parts. When you have started on refurbing one, there is no way back, untill all the other parts are in the same condition as the first on, either new or good as new.

Sadly I dont have any more pictures as Im at work again. Also my laptop decided to call it the evening the other day, so that was 2 years of my project pictures gone, pluss all the other personal pictures. Good old fashioned "learning by burning"

My plan was to run the motronic ecu, but now beeing enlightend, Im strongly considering the Autronic plug and play unit instead due to cost efficenty and the option of beeing able to change parameters after mapping is done.
In the area where I live, Autronic is tried and tested by the most and therefore come highly recomended. The only downside of choosing autronic is the insane price it comes with. 2500,- £ for ecu and 1 finished custom map.

Nira i3+ is a bit cheaper, ca. 1400-1500.-£ only for the ecu, but then again, the knowledege isnt that big locally as the autronic is, unless I go over the border to sweden.

No, vems is not really an option. I want something tried and tested, and local knowledge for help if I suddenly would need any. Therefore I think the autronic would suit the task best, not considering the pricetag. But nothing is decided 100% yet, so time will tell.

not tried and tested by anyone locally where I live. Huge diffrence as my situation dont allow to involve so deep in the system as other forum members.

Hi Anders, great car. Its just what ive always wanted, blue s2 avant, same wheels ...really nice....and all the work you have put into it. Awesome!

Oh and if you ever want to sell it.....let me know , ive been looking for a LHD s2 avant in blue for ages.
