Got a small update from the garage the other day:

The LM reps are too small in inner diameter so they wont fit over the calipers. I will look more on this when I get back to the garage again, but initally there is too much mass needed to be machined off the caliper in order to make it fit. So let the wheel hunt begin.
It is done before with the LM reps, so I dont know why mine wont fit. Machining the bracket a little is a no-go, as the calipper mounted sit just with enough clearence off the hat/disc bolts.

    Who need calipers? :

Also got my high quality "turbo by garrett" turbo blanket, which will fit perfectly in the enginebay:

Now I finally got some time off, and went home for some tlc with the DKW.

I sourced many new parts from my local supplier, mainly bolts but some other stuff like, the oil breather adapter for the block which still is available and not NLA, and the pricing is totally off the chart. Some bolts, breather adapter and EM pins = ca 1000 NOK / 100£ Insane!
But, all parts/bolts have to be new so the engine can look like this:

Teaser pic, lovely work on the carbon piece Aaron :

Overview, just test turned it 2 rounds, all ok:

Side shot, Turbo not present (wonder why ):

Calipers just 0,5cm too big for the LM's, so Avus mk1 18" needed again:

also, to you guys out there who got the Dahlbäck camgear, the two pins which comes with the kit, exactly what are those for? I noticed 2 small holes on the camgear, but they dont fit there. What are their purpouse if not for "locking" the camgear?
        See pics below:

        The pins:

Its the small hole above the hex-bolt:

        More pictures to come

Anyone with info on the Dahlbäck camgear pins?

I put those pins in the bin Anders like you say they don't fit and I couldn't see the point of them.

i hear that Anders.....having spent over 300 pounds (my laptop only has a dollar symbol on it.... )on my suspension "upgrade"...... bolts, nuts, bushes etc...and that was a discounted price through s2avant!!!...

the pricing seems to be going up...

good luck with the build....and you know the S8's are the perfect wheel for an avant!...

Yeah its unbelivable those prices and how much it has evolved the last few years. As it wasnt sxpensive enough from before.

Anyway, there is always som problems, when your doing stuff alone the first time, so im tryning to fix a few issues.

ah, the engine bay is so dirty, and it doesnt fit along with the rest of the clean parts. Dirty hoses and old filth from the its erlier road bashings. But I dont care for that now. Next winter maybe.
The car shall be ready this summer no matter what. After all I got four new tiers to smoke this season

Finally back home, sent the GF away so I can get some quality time with the s2.

Engine's been in for about a month + or so:

New radiator + bolts/washers = expensive as h3ll from the NOR stealers:

found out that I need a new trigger sensor on the gearbox, the lower one. My old one have a exposed wire, so that is no good. Anyone got one cheap?

Will be updating with pictures frequently. Also found myself som new bling bling wheels. Oh yeah!

Moving along with small steps here.

Wondering if I should go for 3" (76mm) from IC to throttlebody, but not sure if that is to big diameter as for the flow of the air. Would the air flow faster/ more efficient if I go for a smaller bore (turbo to IC is 51mm), and would that make a diffrence if going for diffrent sizing on the turbo to IC side vs the IC to TB side?
-What Im currently thinking is 51mm plumbing from turbo to IC and maybe 76mm from IC to TB. There will not be any MAF as it's deleted. Any inputs on this?

Is there any extension sets available for the connectors to the TPS, Air sensor and carbon canister, or have you guys just extended the wires?
Best thing as I see it, would be to buy a extension set so I could disconnect if I want to revers the process and put in a oem engine later on.

I dont remeber where all the wire/connectors go, so I need some help here. The connector which is on the injectors net', does that hook up with the hallsender connector as in this pic?:

I got a new watermanifold sensor aswell, but this one got 1 connector pin, and the other (old) seen hanging in my hands have to connectors. Are they still available new as two pin connected or am I mixing?:

There is quite some work left as you can see:

                              Getting there :

                              Now its beer time!

                              cheers
