Lol, if it does help a bit, it cost me quite a bit too.
Thanks anyways
hm, I hear you. I will talk with audi myself and post back when I got some more info.
Cheers Andy
Kind words there!
Cheers!
I did not do anything more about them other than saving them. One thing to do is mailing Dahlbäck Racing to confirm what their function really is.
Turbo is the old 3076R and wheels are the one and only mk1 avus 18"

Got the height on the suspension set finally! Ended up with the front adjusted all the way down. So no option in going lower there.
Rearwise I had to adjust upwards, ending up with 50-60mm left of threads. Makes no sense to have so many threads left rear and none up front, height beeing equal. All wheelwells -> top of wheel measure 65mm, and got plenty of room in horizontal wheel movement (not that it should be any problem by how stiff these Clubsport coilovers really are).
Exhaust system need a tiny weld/change angle to compensate for the engine moving further back.
Only missing Breitling and his fluids (lol), brake fluids that is. Next time im home its clutch and brake -bleeding time, then a drive w/camera?
Also in the process of ordering ECU. But which one to go for? Not sure the Autronic SM3 supports the 034 high output coils w/drivers, anyone who can confirm that?
Heres some mandatory pics you lot want. Dirty/dusty pics
Mocking up the exhaust, check out the rearwheel camber:

Final height adjustment done:

Front is mounted once mapping is done:

Enjoying 24 stella artois now! Plane leaves at 0900 tomorrow. No worries!

I agree, but i suspect a little more adjustment need to be done once the coilovers get driven in. We'll see, but yes, Im really eager to take it for a spin

Cheers for great comments guys!
You are the best
Not much to report on this project these days. Ecu and new injectors are on its way. Supposed to be here on monday, but then im off to work in the states for a few weeks, so have to wait untill next time to drive the damn coffincarrier.
I also know its crazyness, but Im toying with the idea of add an half inch to the avus wheels in order to make them 8,5" wide. That have to cure the lack of width which I miss now, compared with the lm reps I had earlier on. It shouldnt be any problem adding the extra 0,5" on the inside of the wheel, as there is enough clearance there.
8,5" is perfect fuction/form on the avant with 225/40/18 tyres, and I miss that to get it perfect on this car
Remaines to see if I go bother with it. Cool thought though.
Im also in the process of bidding on a set of Recaro Pole positions in carbon. They would do the final touch in the interiour -function wise, but also regarding the looks. Always wanted a pair of those ever since my first drive on a track with the oem s2 seats, as traveling sideways inside the car isnt that much fun when going fast. Also rs2 recaros dont grow on trees anymore.

Do you guys have some recomendations on oil? I want to go thicker than the castrol 10-60 as this is not a racing car, but a "sportscar", so thinking maybe 5-50 synthetic? Any experiences on this? Winter no problem as It wont be used then.Last edited by AndersS2; 19 May 2012, 11:57.Anders - S2 Avant Clubsport - 8pots or die!
