I just love the not so subtle flared arches that look so good on the UrQuattro and the BMW M3 E30 !

Too bad that look has become so boy racerish today with the boy racers and the rice burners and the whole feckin tuner scene...

But it still looks so good on an eighties car !!!

The flared arches look even bigger when viewed in the door mirrors too, it looks damn mean then!

Comparing weights of the ur to the S2 it (the ur) actually works out having better brakes than the S2.
But then I know someone that can do Porsche monoblock upgrades for the ur and can even fit them under the standard 8x15 wheels

Cos its a 20 yr old car and 15"s were big wheels at the time

Actually it dates from a time when brake pads were made from asbestos and they worked a lot better then. the brakes on my 84 ur (smaller even than Pete's!) were pretty good untill they banned the stuff, then it all went a bit pete tong..

(I still occasionally have this recurring nightmare...no..best not go there.. )

I have G60s now off a 200, like the RR, with GD discs and Greenstuff pads and its ok for the road.

Ta!, it has 90K miles on the clock. It 'aint quite concours but it is an excellent example and its all the original paintwork. Not bad for coming up to sixteen years old really!
Spent a lot on it since I've had it and its all pretty much sorted now (new oil coolers lines, accumulator, rads etc, etc).
Brakes aren't too bad really. I've got the Green Stuff pads with OE discs and as John says the're fine for the road anyway.
Its used virtually every day too (for now anyway!).

Simply the best audi ever built . It's black, it's nice, it's AWD, it has 20vt, and charisma inside. No other audi has that combination at once. Yes, I know it's S2 forum .

Mine is also black, has 20vt inside , however not nice, and lacks charisma . Just poor man's rally car.
