    Yes, for, I peeled back the rubber grommet to expose the worn plastic casing of the elecrtial wires.

    Fiddley job, you need to find extra slack from both "ends" of the cables to make it less difficult.

    Also the two helping hands of a patient friend would help you greatly.

    If you've owned a S2 for 12 years, this job should be within your ability.

      It's better to replace ~15 to 20cm of wire where original one is broken because if you just solder together old wire it will break again soon - soldered points are not that flexible anymore.

        In my opinion probably the same as yours it´s those long pipes...
        On my red s2 (which I also have a thread about here) .
        I mounted a IC spec to 500+hp. Made a short piping system and used a intake manifold with a large volume I built for highrev enigine. With everything else quite OEM there was small increase in lag but also a increase in power/torque.
        Built a much smaller IM and there on my low hp engine the turbolag deleted =)
        The response now reminded me of my former a bit modified A4 1.8T.
        More agressive and fun even on lower revs
