it turned up in Drumchapel, Glasgow several weeks ago.
I don’t know the whole story (ongoing investigation) but it would seem as if the DVLA probably did send a document of some sort to the suspect, who then used that to claim the car was his. Giving me 14 days to prove a vehicle is mine isn’t really long enough when I work away from home a lot, thanks DVLA.
Anyway, the cops have reported everything to the fiscal, and there’s a lot of evidence pointing to that one individual, so we’ll see if the case goes to court or not.
Back in August (after 8 months of waiting) when it looked like the cops had run out of leads, I finally settled with the insurance company, mostly because I was buying a house at the time (the money came in handy to be fair) and now the car is at auction, who knows what will happen.
There are a few more scratches on the body than there were before, internal wiring hanging out and damage to a door. God knows what else the guy did to it.
