A sponge and chamois can scratch it and cause swirl marks, like this:

I thought it was about time I got started on the engine bay, which hasnt ever seen a clean by previous owners from the look of it

Made a start with the slam panel, which was thick with grime and grease that was well and truly baked on!

3 hours () later and the results speak for themselves

just a small teaser,i bet the carbon engine cover that aronmatic sells, can be easily fitted on top of the ignition coil packs to hide them and give a slight more bling look! ask him,i think there may be some left,or maybe on the bay as well! no more than 100euros!!

Finally got round to fitting the group buy boost gauge today, and thought it was about time the nasty chrome went from the grill!
I think Ill keep the rings chrome though, as I like it as it is.
I might have to rub it down and redo it though, as Im not 100% happy with the finish :mischeif:

                    Usual before and after shots!

Looks clean before and uber clean after . All these clean cars make mine look like the dirty white slag that it is .

Modded the front of the airbox this morning, definitly made it abit more noisey on gear change and hearing the turbo spool up!
It is booked in on Thursday for the cats to be removed, then on Friday am off to Western Performance with Aiden (quattronutter) so we can both get a power run

Take along a little cable tie and make sure the RR boost reference hose is on SECURELY.

Airbox mod makes things sound better, if you're feeling brave then some 16mm or similar holse on teh cold side add even more noise.
