    Yes definately.

      S2 - 250 miles from a £80 tank.
      Diesel Clio - 950 miles from a £55 tank.

But you'll never guess which is most exciting!

Overall on my mix of driving I get 29 mpg for daily use - that's on ABY with Homefries.

I wonder if many of you are quoting mpg from the display? My display always under reads the true mpg by on average 2 mpg. Which reminds me I must adjust it using the little DIP switches hidden on the side of the instrument binnacle.

Also, how many of you have adjusted the low setting on the petrol gauge, so low really is a known amount?

I also suspect people may be quoting from the display.
Such a HUGE range of economies for essentially similar setups.
(Tank sizes do differ a fair bit)

I found that my computer was running an average of approx -19% MPG.
This calculated over 18 months of logged tanks/actual mileages.

Thanks to Pauls site, I've now adjusted the micro switches and given the
computer a 15% correction. So far it's now running an error of just -0.49%

Either way, measured brim to brim and actual miles covered I seem to average
19/20 mpg - that combined (including the odd track day etc).

Max miles per tank was 289. That was driving like a fairy

Normally, day in day out I see anything from 180 - 250 miles per tank.

Well, in that case you may have a valid claim for a world record of most miles per tank
in an RS2. 412 How is this possible ? I'm all ears for some advice

After the MTM map I can get 250 all around town with lots of flat out accel, and 330 from 55 litres at 95 mph motorway.
standard map 220 town and 265 motorway.

Lloyd, which map do you have? seems bobbins....

                I'm assuming a 64L tank. That's correct, right?

I don't think it matters how big your tank is as you just log/calculate from a full tank to a full tank using mileage covered and fuel used to fill back up to full.

Car is running an Mihnea MRC custom map - maybe it's just how I drive?

I also have new MAF and Lambda, both of which made zip all difference to the mpg!

wonder what else I could look at to improve the o/all mpg. maybe try the mtm map?

Yes for calculating MPG, but miles per tank, I need to know the size of my tank. Unless I actually let it run dry!

Ah, I see what you mean. I've never worked out the theoretical maximum mileage per tank.

This gives me a theoretical average maximum of 282 miles per tank
and a personal best of 345. Doesn't sound quite so bad now....

NM engined without CAT is one of the most economical 20v. Low low 7L / 100km is easy with chip. Even figures starting with 6 are possible. (with lead free super only; no 95).

i just drove to Fincham and back on a full tank. in the lower half of the red when i got back about 3-4 litres left.

240 miles - steady GPS 75 all the way motorway driving with the occasional over take to ease the boredom.

On average the trip computer reads 27-28Mpg motorway driving and between 8-14Mpg in town

I've always thoughts she's a bit thirsty really?
