That's true. To be honest i'll be happy to get over 200, anything more is a bonus.

I have no idea on the 20v engines but over in the world of the 2.0l 16v golfs which as far as i'm aware are the exact same port design?...its normal to get 10%+ and thats mid and top end increase, maybe that is just forum talk but no one seems to disagree.....
also cams are different story all together, you can probably get 15% from cams alone if you go hardcore enough...
i think there is a lot of N/A potential in these engines, heard about a 2.3 7A running 300bhp wasnt very drivable though lol

I have heard very good increases from the 16v's but i don't know what to expect from a 20v stroker, there is only one way to find out!

And that guy running 300bhp, wasn't that using high compression? Something else to think about too...

                .

To be honest...if i was to go loopy on one of these engines i would seriously look at throttle bodies...

                Oops started that one again.

Here's a nice link to an A4 touring car .

I think the 7A should yield a very driveable 250bhp with some quality head work, lumpy cams and throttle bodies...
you'd obviously need to wear a neck brace when driving it to counter act the throttle response

With a single box system it'd sound like the world was coming to an end

What would you do with the throttle bodie to improve it?

                      give it four friends

basically fit five individual throttle bodies onto the runners, bike ones are normally whats used.

Mike I think they are talking about independent throttle bodies, one for each cylinder. It does appeal to me but remote mounted turbos also look interesting. Long long way off for me though.

But there was a german link that fourcircle posted that had a good guide for modding the existing throttle body.

                        LINK

It didnt all translate in google but you get the jist to most of it.

What are remote mounted turbos? Had a look at that guide, I might have a play with that as I have a spare 7A throttle bodies.
Has anybodie fitted five individual throttle bodies to a 7A?
                          Cheers,

Remote mounted turbos are usualy put inplace of your backbox rather than in the engine bay.

Some say you will get horrific lag, but from what I read if the proper sized turbo and a well designed exhaust is used there should be no more lag than normal.

space, less heat from the turbo, correct sized pipes actually work as an intercooler.
