MOT F^&kin Disaster..

I'm just like you.. I keep a sharp eye on the guy while he takes my car through the MOT!


The first time I took my S2 coupe to have its MOT I didnt really _love_ it like I do now but I still kept an eye on the guy.. however.. he managed to DROP the exhaust tester on the rear bumper... MOTHER******...


Of course the re-spray that I had a year later (after falling in love with the car) took care of that.. but still.. ANNOYING

Well, been an entertaining day... Rather than working I've spent 3 hours talking on the phone about yesterday.

So, the upshot is, we've got a Passat estate hire car, which is nice(ish) but the bad bit is, the insurance co. want to send an engineer to assess the car as a cost effective repair prior to continuing...

Not happy with that at all....

There's a funny thing, being an Audi and all.

I've got the Hire PissRat for a bit longer than I hoped it seems.

Faffing Audi are a bunch of cowboys. I'm seriously getting p'd off with all this NLA and back order crap. We buy their cars wanting to keep them in good order and they **** it all up for us. Thanks a f'ing bunch Don't get this with BM/Merc/Porsche so why should Audi be so different. Surely having cars that are nearing 20 Y/O in such good condition still anihilating the modern hyper hatches is a damned good advert for them... shame they can't see beyond the modern *****. It's funny, (well, it's not really, it's suspect ), I've got a Passat thingy (58 plate 2.0Tdi estate) to cover the S2 being out of action and it's, well, not my cup of tea... In fact, if I'd spent £17k or whatever on it, I'd be suing them...

I drove that poxy Passat back to Sussex from Manchester last tonight... I can see why there are so many crashes now... There's nothing to do when driving it but (a) - Play with gadgets (b) play with youself (c) fall asleep...

The S2 makes even a crap run like that seem like a theme park ride compared to the PissRat padded cell approach...

The S2 makes and responds to fine measured inputs, to throttle, brake and steering, the PissRat just runs down the road on a wave of mediocrity... With blandness provided in bucketfuls.

The Passat does a job, like a microwave, it warms, and it goes 'ping' if you don't put the belt on...

The S2 does the job like only an S2 could... Keeping with you, making you work, keeping you busy, entertaining you and making you feel 'alive'...

The PissRat is like spending 5 hours in a warm jelly with wind-noise... (and boy, was there some)...

I want my S2 home....

I know exactly were you're coming from Ian. That's why I really don't like most modern cars, they just seem to be dumbed down for the moronic masses. A sign of the times as a whole I guess.

Hope the S2 comes back fighting fit real soon mate, last of the REAL cars!

She is, registered in September 1993 as a demonstrator for AFN Isleworth, originally L9AFN index... They had 4 of the very first S2 Avant demonstrators I believe.

that s a real disaster !! and i still haven got a quid back after 1 1/2 years from the insurance !
