          S2 springs with RS2 shocks.
Yep, much cheaper from Germany! They were £191 inc p&p, shops in the UK were about £230 without p&p, or something like that!!

was the back always sitting a bit lower with the springs.?

since i have the bilsteins and the rears have 2 grooves i m thinking of using the higher groove to make them sit a bit higher. Seeing this picture now,i see that there is a bit more of a gap on the front than the rear.

can you verify that for me?

The back is sitting a little low in that pic cause the back was full of wheels
                      It sits 100% level normally...

                        oh i see.

then i would have to use the same groove. No problem.

In any case, is there a way to 'lift' the springs in the front by a 10mm somehow? I mean if i fit a spacer of some sort on the bottom of the front springs, would that create a small lift?so that i can match that to the rear higher groove that is?

problem is that the @#^$& that refitted the parking pole in my space failed to tidy the ground so that it is not that high lifted up,and now i fear that 30mm drop will end up skidding the cats or engine cover for sure... grrr

and as always those guys are nowhere to be found...

I wanted to dechrome everything, because Im not a fan of it atall!

First I sorted the rear window rubber corners, the same as on my blue one.
Every time I see pics of Avants these stick out at me, a pet hate of mine! LOL
(Pics obviously nicked from the blue one...)

I was toying with the blacked out front grill, but think it looks a bit plain with the rings black too, so wanted a compromise.
In the end Ive decided on dark grey, with a black surround (pics to follow, not done that bit yet)

I wanted to get new S2 badges, as they are both past their best... this would of brought back the problem of removing all the chrome!
So after some thought I had the brainwave to respray them to match the dark grey rings.

I am REALLY pleased with how they came out, and cant wait to see it on the grill

                              Before:

                              After:

The rear S2 badge will be done to match, and the rear rings in the dark grey too

I've got a couple of badges to do this to, do you think i'd get to see the markings for the rings thru say a white label or would sellotape be good with a decent knife?
