I'm still thinking about it....having seen a real one at the Audi museum I do like the idea. Maybe DTM on the outside luxury barge on the inside?

If you go DTM, then you need it stripped and caged inside and a straight through exhaust - the noisier the better.

The alternative is slammed and blacked out glass with a monster sub in Das boot for a different sort of sound track. Then just change from standard ciggies to large roll-ups of the happy variety for the full west-coast look.

Keep it as stock looking as possible but with the usual extras underneath and I assume LPG to make is a suitable daily? Even leave teh pearlweiss wheels on it

Having spent Saturday afternoon swapping out the G4 and G28 sensors in an effort to make it reliable I was on the verge on chucking in the towel and getting shot of it already. Luckily Matt was on hand to keep me sane while I was under it with my hands shoved up the side of the engine working blind.

Still not actually driven it any great distance but hopefully I can get some miles under it's belt this week and complete the shakedown to see what else has given up the ghost. I know it needs a new header tank which is on back order but other than that it seems to be ok. Headlamp washers don't work which wouldn't be an issue if the V8 didn't wash/wipe it's headlights everytime you do the windscreen whether the lamps are on or not. It's a recipe for wrecked headlamp wipers and lenses as they drag the dry blades across the lenses. Think I'll pull the fuse on them until I fix that problem.

I'm still undecided as to what to do with it. It all depends how rare they are in RHD. If they are as rare as some websites say then I ought to restore it but I was perving over the V8 DTM at Goodwood yesterday. Decisions, decisions....
