We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links

Here's my MK2, its a bit sick at the moment though as the heater matrix exploded when it was -2, filled the car with steam for about 5 minutes. It was certainly a strange site for the queue at the bus stop when i pulled over.

I am also in the middle of sorting out my Sons Mk2 Heater Matrix its a b!tch of a job... Had to put it on hold till the snow goes...
I don't envy you trying to work round that lump to fix it!!
Looking good, got any higher shots showing what the roof's come out like etc as thats a hard bit for them to do. Interested to see what its came out like. Sheffields not that far away if I needed to ever bring a car to be resprayed, my urq's already in being re-sprayed elsewhere tho.

Have you not seen JJ's UR's as he has had his resprayed by the same firm...
I have not had the roof done as it didn't need doing... It's still 100% orginal VW paintwork... you have to draw the line somewhere or the costs just sprial out of control...

But the heater matrix is held by two bolts in the engine bay and also the matrix pipes go through the fire wall Unless you have changed the interior...

Ah ok mate, just was interested as I know how hard it would have been to have the roof sprayed, my urq's roof's being sprayed soon. If its all good then no need to do it
