Aaargh shut up both of you

When Dmitri's MAF solution is ready and a 3076 0.82 + mani (or maybe just port my K26 Wagner) pops up again, I might get tempted

Would be good to see some 100-200kmh using 4th only as well as 3-4th gear pulls. Tested under safe conditions, of course.

Would also be great to see some back to back to back 3rd gear pulls from f.ex. 100-150kmh at the same exact stretch of road to see the consistency of the Pbox. I have a similar 10hz GPS logger (Qstarz BTQ1000 10Hz), and the results vary much more than my 100hz accelerometer based logger. In fact, the 5hz GPS logger on my Contour +2 action cameras give much more consistent results than the 10hz motorsport type logger. The Contour camera is awesome, as it provides video as well as a GPS log of speed, distance and elevation.

Vas: have you tested the Pbox for consistency over back-back pulls?

To tell you the truth Espen, you can never be sure as you cannot always have the same wind or the same engine parameters to say if there is repeatability.

I can say that yes on measuring values from the PB or vems and plugging them to the excel files I get consistent results. But then what is consistent? How many hp/Nm difference do you accept of as being acceptable.

I have up to >50hp difference on testing on a road that has some incline and I go both ways. I can get from 380 to 440hp at one time. Is my true hp the mean?

While when I do consistent runs on the same area perhaps starting a bit earlier or later on the road I can get usually 5-10hp difference.

So its difficult to say what's the reason of the inconsistency.

I did find the Pbox very consistent?
my 100-150 times didn't vary much more than 0.2sec after around 6-7 pulls, so thats pretty good imo.

Did a few 100-200 runs in 3rd/4th, but I find that pointless since I need to wring it out to 7500rpm in 4th gear to only very just hit 200.
                    10.2sec was the result.
95-195km/h would be like a second quicker I guess.

These cars just aren't well geared for 100-200.

I'm thinking more variances in time to speed (I hardly bother with HP anymore, as it is time to speed that tells how quick the car is in real life).
On the accelerometer logger, I can pull off times for f.ex 60-90mph that are within a few hundreths of a second, but the GPS times will vary more.

Hmm, I find that they are perfectly geared for 100-200kmh (but horribly geared for 60-130mph, as I slam into the limiter at 127mph or so).

What tire size are you running?
                        With my 225/45-17 I hit 200kmh at a theoretical 7100rpm.
Tire compression and/or growth will cause this to vary somewhat, but you should be able to hit 200kmh at well below 7500rpm.

                        95-195 vs. 100-200
From a 4th gear 7.24s 100-200kmh run, I see that it pulled 95-195kmh in 7.12s, so slightly faster.

You are better off shifting after 6800-7000 really, revving past 6.8k on this turbo is pretty useless, the hotside starts to choke it hard.
Comparing to an E85 car is also not very good, because E85 has crazy good charge cooling so cylinder temps are a huge amount lower and the car does not get slower with increased intake temps.

Whereas on normal gasoline things start to look very grumpy quickly on longer WOT pulls. Unless you have some mega big FMIC or meth injection, which this car does not have.

I've got 225/45/17 and to hit a real 200 gps (or pbox for that mather) I really do need
to go that far in the rev range. And I've only got 2-3km/h difference between tacho and gps. No way that I'm hitting real 200 at 7100rpm.

I know, I usually shift at max 7k but I think that shifting to 5th would do no better for such a run.

Yep, for a pull to say 220kmh shifting out of 4th before 7K absolutely makes sense, for a pull to 200kmh, on the other hand, the shift and time to regain boost would make it significantly slower than riding out 4th.

Also, I am pretty much done with this ECU - I have accomplished everything I wanted to.
So whether it is a RS4 maf you want to use, MAF-less tune or whatever else, I can do that at this point.

Fitting anything bigger than a 3071R will require removal of the airbox though, as it just will not fit.

I would personally put a GT3076R or GTX3071R on your car, use a compression dropping head gasket and add methanol injection. Then you can start getting closer to Espen's times on here

Or you could do absolutely nothing at all, and just keep the car looking as OEM as it is, which is better for it's value anyway.
