Another fellow 7A non-turbo driver. It looks fantastic, well done.

BTW I've got a temperamental speedo on occasion, seems pushing a little button underneath it springs it back into life, I think its a speedo/revometer check button.

      The snow came...big time!...

....and with the cold that came, the starter-engine went...
      New was bought and replaced.

Do you have a schematic of the changes needed to do for this?
I have friends C4 A6 with minichek witch needs to be converted to autochek & computer once I have found decent set of "long" A6 gauges. Sice the lamp control and washer fluid level are not important I'd rather skip those but keep the rest of the features intact.

I recon that the following wirring counts for the A6 C4 as well.
Scüll, a member on this forum, helped me with the info on this. You will find your answers for the Autocheck here:

For the computer I`ve found my self a original harness from a crashed Audi S2 and found the consumption-signal from the ECU. Plug and play

Thanks. I remember skipping over this thread a while ago, should have read more carefully back then .
I once retrofitted the tripcomputer to my old 80 Avant, and there were some differences between B4 and C4. At least now I know what to look for when I start messing with the autochek.

Yeah, I`ve always wondered why the people who bought it new crossed off the options-list for an electrical sunroof and electrical mirrors, but not electrical windows?
But you have to remember that this is a 1989 Coupe, witch means that it was one of the first B3 Coupes built..the S2 did`nt even excist!

Stupid question, but is that the normal 'look' of the rear lights on a type89+ coupe at night?

Not a stupid question I`ve wirred it to be a set of doble rear fog lights, and then fitted 5W bulbs while taking out the rear lights in the middle. Just a little "mod"

mate, its VERY good.. Makes it look so much more 'special' and stand out like a sports car should do.

I don't know why audi didn't design them to be like that in the first place!

Almost makes me want to go buy a typ-89 just to do the same mod!

I wonder, could the same be done to an 80 Avant tdi? or even a saloon?
