    Not a bad garage!!

Well, this is the third week without the S2….

It’s having a little bit of cosmetic work done. Strip down and respray, headliner and seat bolster, screen out for some corrosion, new weather strips, sunroof rebuild etc. That kind of thing.

Before, and on initial inspection pics. (Taken about a fortnight ago).

And that’s about it, not bad for 32-years and 170k miles.

I’m deliberately letting them get on with it. So pics are a bit thin on the ground.

PS - huge thanks to Sal who’s been helping with parts…

The old girl completed its 1000-miles in a week with an run down to Chippenham, overnight stay, and run back at the beginning of the week. It can have a well earned breather now.

Averaged 28.8mpg over 1000 miles including motorways and Welsh A and B roads.

Mine was running fine until Just before Christmas when it developed an electrical problem, I replaced the very old battery and thought that was the solution but it now seems to be a parasitic drain.....god knows from where!

The good news is, it’s got about another 250 miles of activity this coming week as well. It’s running so well at the moment it’s painful….

    I’m tempting fate, aren’t I!?
Hopefully not!! I was saying to Caroline 2 weeks our S2 running so well atm, I went to get it out the garage and it’s got 2 decent oil leaks on garage floor just before we do the nc500 spoke to soon, so now doing nc500 in the rs5 not a bad substitute lol but I was all for taking the mighty S2. Enjoy your 250 mile journey
