in that case will reccomend he does get one. i take it to be a straight fit to the ABY.

Greg, both parts of the RS2 airbox are different to the S2 airbox. I found this out when I fitted mine

Have a close look at the two airboxes at the top of this page, you'll notice that the RS2 part is much thicker just under where the MAF lives, as can be seen above

hi when changing the s2 airbox for an RS2 airbox, would i also have to change the sensor sitting on top of the pipe leading to the box?

keeping inmind that we have an complete rs2 setup!!

                thanks

RS2 MAF and S2 MAF are different...I think it is a scaling thing but Mihnea would confirm. Which ECU are you using with your 'full RS2 setup'?

am using an RS2 ECU MTM chipped. But am hoping that i can have Mihnea look at it to see if he can increase the performance, as my ecu is using a generic chip.

he should be able to map the car with the S2 MAF or RS2 MAF but the RS2 one is prefered. I think all that may need changing is a resistor in the ecu maybe?

How good (bad) is the 3B airbox compared to ABY and ADU? Seem more restrictive, don't know about filter surface area but I guess that is smaller too.

I am running a Green Filter and modified original heat shield + s/s steel U-bend, but would like to back to stealth mode again.. And maybe even the MAF stays clean!!

Fitted ABY airbox to my 3b, definately a lot easier to get at the filter, has bigger volume also, and the inlet is at the front on the ABY box asa pposed to the side right next to the turbo on 3b.

but now i have an ITG cone (well more like a big sponge really)

The rs2 airbox is nice upgrade to ABY S2 Sedan or Coupe S2. For the 3B 200 I modified 2 big trumpets to replace the original entry. Measurements showed reduced flow resistance. Measurements were done with truck air filter flow indicator tool. Recommended upgrade.
