The slider in the fuel metering head will be stuck.

You have to do it 10v, no question. The 20v is sanitised in comparison .

I know it's confusing but this car is not a Coupe Quattro. It is just an Ur quattro. (Ur means original in German) The "Coupe Quattro" had no turbo and did not have the wide wheel arches. That is a rare car with the 4 head lights and analogue dash, I had one just like it in blue too, I think it was an 82 though.

oh i got it running fine now. i put some fresh 93 octane gas in it and ran it around my property and after a few launches and revving the piss out of it the car started running perfectly fine.

Spend a few years in the USA driving and you'll see where the logic comes from! I had a few shunts up the **** and never more than a scuffed or warped bumper... avoided a few by watching mirrors + quick reactions too... they give licenses away to 16yr old kids in cereal boxes I think!

I know it been a while since i posted about the old URQ. i had a guy who was supposed to be helping me do the rust repair at his place but he got nothing more done than tearing the car apart and attempting to fix one rust spot so i fired him and took the car back. i brought another guy i know in now and he's been making mad progress!

I started by removing the whole front clip and tracking down every last piece of rust, cutting it out and replacing it with OEM metal from a parts 4000 quattro i bought for this project.

Fender aprons and supports from the donor 4000 quattro. Yes i sat there and drilled out every last spot weld lol.

After removing the core support and the drivers side fender i discovered the car had be wrecked and very poorly repaired. the original fender apron was so badly damaged from the accident and rust it had to be completely removed.

The sheet metal on the outside of the frame rail was so torn and wrinkled that i i just had to make an attempt to repair it.

Where a rust hole lived that led to allow water into the drivers side floor behind the fuse panel! i know URQ fuse boxes suck and this would have most definately made a fire.

The passenger side apron was in far better shape than the drivers side so we just cut out the rotten parts and sectioned in parts of the apron from the donor 4000.

Even had to replace the part of the shock tower that the fender and apron sit on.

Passenger apron after some of the repair.

Both fenders are in pretty bad shape where they bolted on under the hood and i could only come up with several solutions. one was to buy new but im poor so i cant afford new fenders, fiber glass re-pop fenders are too expensive still and fit like crap so to get a good set of fenders within my budget i made my own using 4000 fenders and the original URQ fenders. so far has they have cost me little money and alot of work.

This is the 4000 top half on the URQ bottom half test fit to get everything lined up before welding it tack welding the fender together.

This is with the fender half's tacked into place.

This is after finish welding the 2 half's together.

                            Repairing the rotted out corner.

The fender support was so rotted it could not be saved so we made a new one from scratch.

This is the drivers side one for comparison.

Well thats as far as i've gone on the car. honestly all of the metal work is being done by my buddy curt who is a magician when it comes to this sort of stuff! i've been helping him more than he's been helping me on the project lol. i have too many audi projects to focus on just one, i have this car going, my AAN swapped 4000 quattro that i've been battling to get back up and running on VEMS but the VEMS ECU refuses to cooperate and i just bought a 1995 URS6 avant to drive daily now because the 4000 i being such an *****hole and the URQ is far from finished.

picked this gem up for 2000.00 bucks out the door too.

Tossed a set of 18in porsche twists i bought off some drug addict for a 100.00 a few years ago. He even had the H&R adapters for 5X112 to 5X130 too!

Its getting up there! still original engine, tranny and driveline. very well maintained by the previous owner on a mechanical level. it was a work car for him and it will be for me too.

It has tan interior which i cannot stand, not to mention it's all stained up from the previous owner's kids and their dogs so the tan/wood grain has to go in favor of the loved black/carbon fiber trimmed interior instead.

I feel the head gasket is starting to fail so i pulled these out of my spare pile parts pile for my 4000's AAN. also im going to make a custom harness to run 2.0FSI coils instead of the stock ones. stock coils and ignition control modules cost too much money, FSI coils are 18.00 a piece my cost straight from the local volkswagen dealer.

Lastly i bought this intercooler off some kid with an E36 M3 for 20.00 because he needed gas money lol. its been sitting on a shelf taking up space so i figured i'd make use of it on the URS6.
