  • On going Project

    Just finished my brake refit

S2 now wears 323 disks up front with a pair of Brembo`s salvaged from a Alfa 166 for £70 as opposed to £400+ for some Porche jobs

    fitted with braided HEL lines

    rear calipers rebuilt and refitted

Looking good - might be worth a look at Rusty's budget rear brake upgrade. Would make good use of your refurbed rear calipers:thumbup:

Are those fronts not 314s? Thought the 323s were rear vented

got barrington cnc to cut my templates out have kept the templates if any one wants a copy then had to cut a notch out the caliper to allow the hub bracket to sit in fairly easy to do.

got some braided hoses done at HEL with banjo fittings

I`ll get the part number s for the discs I`m 99% they are 323 but its been a few months and my memory is not the best lol

the amount of nuts and bolts and parts lost over the last two years has cost me a fortune and made tps pleanty

I`d say the calipers fitted has cost £200 (£70 calipers £100 for the cnc work and steel £30ish for pads and sundries) the extra for the lines and paint is £50

Sure thing, was thrown by the venting on the discs you had, so wanted to understand what you have. Good work on the cheap upgrade though

Only thing to be careful of is on those 2 part calipers, they suffer from corrosion and need to be overhauled to keep them working properly. This is the cause of many a braking problem on 993TT equipped cars and the OE RS2 brakes too. HTH
