I remember removing all the ABS wiring too, ballache. If i recall correctly I think you need to either connect or ground a yellow wire behind the dash or youll have the ABS light constantly illuminated, which is an MOT failure.
Just a heads up. Think ive got it written in one of my sketchbooks which wire it was if you need to know for sure.
Iv given the bay a "very" quick blast of rattle can (Halfords appliance white) paint
It's by far perfect but the car will be used and abused, also I have used rattle cans so that I can easily add or remove things like brackets etc and just easily paint it back in again.
Need to get the subframe and wishbones cleaned up and painted then I'll be waiting on solid mounts and poly bushes.
I'm going to paint the interior in the same paint then I'm intending a dark satin grey for the exterior later on.
But I'm working away from Monday until December so nothing is going to get done
I'm hoping though that when I get back I'll have all the parts to build the engine back up, mount the front subframe and gearbox then actually get the engine bolted to the box so I can make up some engine mounts.
I'm hoping at that point things will pick up a bit of pace.
things to fit when i get back home (working away at the minute);
ARP head studs
ARP main bearing studs
Scat rods as i wasnt happy with the other ones
ARP Rod bolts
R36 Coated VW rod/main bearings
2x Victor Reinz head gaskets
034 motorsports alloy longitudinal flywheel
Spec Stage3+ clutch
reflashed ECU from United motorsports with turbo map
Phaeton 3.2 sump
I have an Audi S2 Sedan, year 1994, I'm in the final stages of the Swap for VR6, I wonder if you can help me, about the Flywheel and Clutch, what do you use in your car? Do you have any other options? what the model of the Clutch ?
