Two people can easily strip a straightish one in a day, one with air tools and a two poster.

However as you know this car is bent in really odd places making it very difficult to remove some part's without damaging them. Also no cables or brake lines were cut but as I had the time and the front flexi's were new I went to trouble of undoing them instead. All done with hand tool's, air tools would have saved hours as well as lot's of energy and swearing. Altogether I spent a little over 12 hours on the car, which is in effect a bloody long day.

To be fair, Charlie also spent a lot of time cursing the wiring loom which he did a good job of removing undamaged while I tackled the mechanical stuff.

                • Glad you and your love ones are ok.

I hear ya on the loom. They can be a real pain. Love the ingenuity during the strip down. Making due with what you have around.

                  • Big thanks to Kit who stayed out in to the dark hours salvaging every last morsel we could.

These guys don't understand, just another job to them...

This guy has no idea what he's just loaded onto his pick-up, I could punch him...

                    Bye bye my sweet love

May you rise again some day....

                    • The comment about punching the guy in face nearly made me piss myself laughing, yeah I can imagine they were totally oblivious to fact is was once a ÂŁ30K Super Car. I expect they grumbled about having to drag it into the back of the transporter, they don't terribly happy anyway.

No worries on helping with the strip down, don't think we missed anything.

Your still thinking about building an RS2 Saloon I take it? As I said I'll give you as much help as I can.

                        • Well there's not point doing half a job I guess! Obviously we need to weld in the engine mounts and do any alterations required to the shell before getting it coated, still set on Ragusa green?

All they're bothered about is NOT scratching the bed of their recovery motor while dragging it on.

........and when their next break is!
