Insert bung in end of hose coming from the intercooler before it goes into teh metal pipe. You are then not pressurising the throttle body at all. By using the bung, the only hose not being tested is the one just before the throttle body where the ISV is. Without the bung, you pressurise the cyliners, crankcase and breather system (through the throttle body).

Lee,
This size pressure tester also works on all 210-225 HP VAG 1.8T engines, TT or S3.
More units to be sold??? tho I guess most of the 1.8T owners won't have a clue what you're talking about

Sounds good Mihnea, thanks. I will go and register on a few other Forums then. If the quantities increase sufficiently I will pass on any further savings to S2Forum members as the price drops. Can't say fairer than that!1995 S2 Avant with some upgrades

The first kit i done had 5 bungs:-
One for the MAF pipe, With tyre valve fitted and BSP blanking plug(incase you plumb it into metered/controled garage air
One for the intercooler>pressure pipe blanking bung,
One for the MAF pipe breather connection off the rocker cover,
One for the Recirc valve connection into the MAF pipe,
And one to isolate the turbo before the line goes into the intercooler (from under the car).
Getting a bung into the throttle body is a bit of a PITA so the ISV can be tested so i didnt bother, but it is possible as this bung would need an O-ring groove and o-ring to seal on the ID of the throttle body.

Now i just make 4 bungs and do without isolating the turbo from the intercooler.
The boss goes mad
whe he sees me spending 2 hrs making a set of bungs though

Just sent off drawings for the bungs in pdf format to the manufacturer. Prices should be very good and if there is demand for other sizes these can be turned around in quantity very quickly. I also asked for a quote on ally 25mm hose plugs if anyone wants to remove their aux radiator (many have done). I am just seeing if I can get them cheaper than what is currently available.1995 S2 Avant with some upgrades

The price for the Pressure test interface with tyre valve is £11.24 and the bungs for the intake pipe are coming it at £6.67. With VAT that comes to £21.04 and recorded delivery and packaging at cost is £2.76 on top. Postage to EU countries is £4.12 but EU insurance is about £4 extra if required. All post and packing is done at cost. VAT is chargeable to EU customers unless they are a registered business and advise me of their VAT number.
Many who do these tests on a regular basis think that additional bungs are unnecessary. Despite that, I also got a price for other bungs: aluminium 25mm bungs are coming in at £4.60 (+VAT is £5.41each) if anyone wants some. I managed to get them cheaper than I have found them elsewhere. These are ideal for permanently plugging the hoses when removing the aux radiator too.
The kit will be provided with a set of easy to follow instructions (ie with pretty pictures!) but I will need to use someone else’s car for the ‘action shots’ as I no longer have a stock air box.
I will let this group buy run until 21 November. Send an email to lee@s2-parts.com to confirm your interest and for payment instructions (I’ll send you a PM if you miss this post in the next few days anyway). Please list exactly what you want with a delivery address and I will confirm the price payable. BACS transfer, Paypal or cheque can be used. Delivery will be within 3 weeks of end of group buy date and/or when full funds are cleared.
I will be making a few extra but these will be available for £25+VAT after the group buy. If we get many more interested before the end of the group buy the price for everyone will come down by a few quid overall but we need to make 50 sets for that!
Thanks again

I definitely need it. If I ran full boost my wastegate would be made redundant, it leaks so much.
Put me down for a kit please.
