In the meantime I've had some progress.
I've bought an 80 2-door in germany, Am picking that up sunday.
The coupe quattro is also arranged.
Then the bodykits. I'm looking into sportquatro.nu and Aelred his kit. At the moment I prefer the Aelred (dialynx similar) kit, because of a complete roof that comes with the package. While I'm doing the upright window, I do want to have the roof correct aswell.

@ Billman
The roof is different on an SQ then on an type 85 coupe. mainly around the rear window. The window is sort off recessed. Then some other details like a small panel gap at the rear lights. The Aelred kit has all that. So is more detailed.

jeffer dont buy the fiberglass kit .if you are going through with it make sure its carbon /kevlar its more stronger and it dosn't sound cheep like fiberglass does.Comment

I know what you mean. Although I think my budget doesn't allow a kevlar kit.Originally posted by volcano rsjeffer dont buy the fiberglass kit .if you are going through with it make sure its carbon /kevlar its more stronger and it dosn't sound cheep like fiberglass does.
@ Volcano RS
Can you make some more pics of your car and body
I'd love to see some more details of it.
Thanks!Comment

carbon/kevlar won't cost you much more maybe about £500 more but well worth it . i've taken my manifold and few other pipes off to get polished . and to tidy up few pipes and wires when its back together i'll take some more pics .Comment

So the basic stuff is as follows:
Audi 2-door 80 from 1985 (for the front end)
Audi coupe Quattro 198x (for the rear end)
Bodykit from Aelred
S2 3B engine with RS2 bits (later on I'm doing extreme power)
Complete S2 drivetrain, hubs, brakes etc etc
So the fun can begin

are you making your own sills?or does the kit from aelred use fibreglass ones?you will probably be needing an rr or mb bootlid too which is fibreglass,i never did the upright screen when i built mine, definitely worth doing though if you can get hold of a 2dr 80 shell...

You probably mean the C-pillars? Those or in the Kit, they are attached to the roof mould.Originally posted by quattronutterare you making your own sills?or does the kit from aelred use fibreglass ones?you will probably be needing an rr or mb bootlid too which is fibreglass,i never did the upright screen when i built mine, definitely worth doing though if you can get hold of a 2dr 80 shell...
Ãts indeed with the upright window. The front half, from B sill to front bumper is audi 80 2-door, the rearhalf, from rearseat to rearbumper is coupe quattro. The 80 2-door is in on sunday. So i'm starting with that to prep it.Comment
