I never saw issues with smaller tials, but I know numerous 60mm ones that have failed.

Can You pls be more specific with this?

the main shaft pushes through the plate on the bottom - and eventually the disc falls off. They also have wear on the shaft. Maybe OE boost control is viscous compared to aftermarket boost control and bangs the plunger up and down too much
