It runs very smooth, considering the cams. Someone must know how to build engines?? Or be really lucky.... (heheheh)

7a , but they are machined to secret specifications.

Greg: Yes , the guy who sold me these (or the machine job) says that they are same as 7a only boost kicks in 1000rpm earlier. I trust him since I soon will be employed with his firm , but the specs are still secret. If you have a pair of 7a cams, it will cost about 300-350£ to get them machined. + shipping. Similiar cams cost £650, so if you have 7a cams already, this is a good deal.

I will test the car on the road tomorrow. Have to do a pressure test first, and I don't have a 4" plug yet for the inlet pipe. That is being constructed today. Then we'll see when the boost kicks in

Yeh small sacrifices in life, the 7A cams for the S2 is a good choice.

Sod that mate. Cut down on guests instead. We (my missus and me) had less family and mostly friends. Was a hell of a bash and didn't break the bank either. No point inviting family you don't see that often just so they can sit and stare daggers at other distant family members that may have taken the last digestive back before the war.

As long as you two are there and you both say "I do" the rest is just fluff. I appreciate that making a woman understand this is difficult though. Maybe put it to her that you'd be happy to sell everything you own to make her happy but you'd hate to subconsciously resent her for making you sell the S2. So in a way keeping the S2 really is the key to a successful marriage.
