Finally!!!



2½ months. The uk really does have ****** logistic systems (No offence boys)
First we sent them with parcelforce, and they claimed that the address was written wrong on the parcel, since I'm not 4 years old anymore I should be able to remember and spell my own address, so it took 1½ month for parcelforce to return the parcel. And then it took a few weeks to get the cams to sweden again.

Better late than never, now we'll put some real effort in completing the car. The parts for the transmission only cost £180. So I'm rebuilding it next weekend. The head will be ported at the same time!

I'm soon taking a picture of everything I've purchased this year. It'll be pretty awesome. New oilpump and engine + tranny mounts are on its way from the states (sorry corey but the dollar is just too low now) 034 motorsport spec.

Impressive amount of work going on there Prosty.
How have you done the tranny rebuild yourself? Have you had to make up special tools as you go along??
I thought this was the limiting factor in DIY rebuilds apart from the necessary skills of course!!

Painted the subframe (Actually my girlfriend did)


Engine out of the car. Not much left of it nowadays


Everything looks mint, and brand new inside. The verdi rods are so beautiful

What kind of paint did you use on the subframe?

Use a paint called Hammarlack, if there's rust it "binds into the rust" and also protects the surface. Hammar = Hammer , lack = paint

It looks great. Will paint with some grey hammarlack some other stuff so it will look good. Everything under the bonnet will shine or look good

Let me know how the engine mounts differ from stock, especially on vibration and noise

I promise. I will update this project daily (or whenever I do work on the car)

I will try to have the car fixed before the end of january. All depends on how long the porting of the head takes. This will be truly awesome

Bad news on the tranny, 2 of the gears are FUBAR. Noone who has 2'nd and 3'rd gear gears laying around ? Otherwise a NEW tranny again......

Got to fit the new nice seats and my new carbon panels. Lovely.
