Here we go.. AGAIN!!!


4 stock piston and 4 verdi rods. The 5th one was measured, no damage done.
5 new pistons needed, good thing I had them "in stock" .

Some more work being done

Same weight on all 5 verdi rods! Impressive.


One done.


This is how it's done.
Lube up the bolt, slide it into the piston.


Add a Verdi rod and push the bolt gently through and CLICK you're done

All done. MAN am I fast??!

Interesting to see that the old pistons also had the same weight. Cool.
0 gram difference between everything now. That's good.

Everything is prepared. Hopefully the new bearings will show up tomorrow, and I'll finish the bottom end then. It takes me just a few hours to do a complete build. The nastiest part is those damn lock rings to the rod bolt.. !%!%!"%"%£@$£

The head will be started to be repaired tomorrow or later this week. If my $$ hold up, I might be able to turn the key in a week. I'm running out of cash though.

Ohh yeah.. I also ordered a new exhaust housing from ATP to my GT 35R, hopefully this new one will give me faster spool than 2.3 bar @ 5500 RPM.

Didn't get the main bearings so I couldn't complete the engine. But did a few other things.

Hopefully turning the key really soon, I think the exhaust housing will be the thing that will hold me back. It will be here august 8'th according to fedex. Then assemble the engine and check everything so around 9-10th of August maybe. The last "official" race this year is august 25th so hopefully I'll be there ready to beat 11.45.

One setback today though:
Took apart the exhaust housing and then I broke off a 12.9 allen bolt in the ex manny, that will be a PITA to get out. But it's doable

Soon, head on, egine in, key on. Race on!
Pretty fast build none the less.

New exhaust housing, .63 A/R for the GT35R. Hopefully it will increase the spool up speed which have been killing me this year.

Looking good, i've never seen pictures of an engine being built up like that before so its shown me where each part goes/how it all goes together. Be good to find out how this goes once all together.

Against my cars tuner, I smoked his *** even though he got a head start, we both agreed on taking it slow, this was the first run, I just wanted to see if everything was OK with the car.

Best run so far with the car, it skids to the side a lot, lots of time to pick up there.
