New Board Computer with bigger display and Arduino
New Board Computer with bigger display and Arduino
After seeing some projects with Arduino I think that is a great idea to make a better BC for B3/B4 chassis.
I want to hear some opinions and some I love /I hate the project.

I'm having the same idea for a while now. Actually I've bought some parts, just being very busy at the work doesn't let me get my hands on it. My initial idea was to build a digital boost gauge driven by arduino nano and placed inside instrument cluster where clock originally is. So far I've connected everything up and got digital value of pressure taken from oem map sensor and shown on 128x64 display (which fits in clock place very nicely). I'm not programmer so learning everything from scratch, now need to think for conversion formula from digital value to pressure in bar.
I guess it's time to dig out parts and start thinking. Count me in.
I've asked the guy who designed the A2 info centre if he'd like to do it for the B4 and C4 cars and despite me trying hard to persuade him he's not interested at all. He's very busy designing and building recording studios as his main job plus anything A2 related. It's a shame as what he's done is awesome. Diagnostics are built into the system and codes can be read. Firm updates can be carried out too. It displays all the usual stuff plus inlet temps' boost pressure, oil temps, measuring blocks, live oil levels, indicates what gear your in and you can set your economy mode (green square lights up) around the gear indicator and is a superb piece of kit.
Mdz, do you think this could be possible for B4 and C4 cars, if it was i'd be interested.
