Been doing a lot of driving and tuning. We are about 90% complete with the tune on pump gas, the mapping is looking amazing. Cold start , hot start etc are fantastic. We are using boost control switch settings 1 through 5 on pump, which equates to 10lbs to 21lbs. I will drive the car a lot more on these settings and then we will tune for race gas / E85.
Here is a clip of the car at 18lbs.....soooo much fun to drive
Sorry, dont know how to post video on S2 forum, so here is instagram

Update on the UR. I have been driving the car quite a bit and adjusting / fixing little things. I have had an on going issue with the power steering, which I have chased for months now. I have replaced power steering pump and rack with no improvement of loss of pressure in the steering wheel. Ends up the new hose I had built with re-used / modified fittings might be the issue. GT500 here in the forum mentioned the high pressure hose has a restriction / valve in the line. After speaking with a Audi expert, he said different hoses have different restrictions, some in the actual fittings and some in the middle of the hose. Ends up by modifying the fittings to mount on new hose, I removed the resistor. I am currently waiting for a used hose, that is ridiculously over priced, ridiculous shipping and the ridiculous tariff tax to arrive, just to have the one fitting to use on a new hose.
Next issue, is the performance. I am not happy with the power band of the engine. I have a Lancia Delta Intergale 16 valve that makes 350hp at the wheels, that will destroy the Audi 0 to 60. The Audi engine was built by Jeff Gerner at For Rings Performance.....he is the best of the best in the USA at building the 20 valve. I asked for 650 hp engine and that is what he gave me. The issue is the turbo does not spool up fast enough for what I like. Boost does not kick in until higher speeds/rpms......one data pass was 140 mph in fith gear at 4,000 rpm.....unusable power
I turned too a buddy who has a company that makes high performance kits for Mercedes, Porsche, BMW etc. (Weistec Engineering) He had me gather data while driving the car in all the gears, rpm's and speed along with the gearing of the car and suggested a Garrett G25-550 turbo.
I just finished the install of the new turbo and drove it for the 1st time.....the car comes on boost much sooner and is an improvement, but it still isnt the performance of the Lancia. Nels (tuner), will play around with the tuning and we will see how it goes. I realize the Audi probaly has 1,000lbs more than the Lancia, but there is a lot of room for improvement on the Audi.

I found a hose in my workshop. The restriction is all the way inside the hose. It makes the bore around 5-6mm. it's not the fitting. If the expensive hose is too short you could make an extension. Easiest is the tube part of the fitting.Rob..

I received and installed my NOS hose with the valve inside, which is what GT500 was talking about. The hose end fitting to the pump does not have the tube which gave me some clearance , so Its a tight fit with my plumbing from radiator to thermostat housing, but ith a little fabricating of my pipe, it will work. Now just waiting on a o'ring for the thermostat housing to put everything back together. On a side note, a big part of my steering issue is that when the car was aligned last time, the mechanic did not tighten the bolts on the struts to the spindle good enough and over time the bolts were loose and you could move the spindle back and forth with the car jacked up. Once I tightened the bolts , 95% of my issues were gone.

Built a small heat shield to help with the hot air coming of the radiator fan. Trying to direct the heat out of the engine bay.

I have been driving the car for the last two days and boy is it now fun to drive. Between new G25-550 turbo / .61 AR , my buddy's tuning and the BOV on, the car is fast and very responsive through out the gears and at any rpm. I was not aware that the BOV actually helps keeping the turbo spooled somewhat along with obviously bleeding pressure. The turbo response is very noticeable difference with 26lbs of boost. The HP is probably in the high 400+ range currently and now getting a good feel for the car, I ordered the Garrett G25-660 turbo and will keep the .61 AR, which helps with the quicker spool up. I think this combination will give me the 600+ hp that is drive able and fun.
The car is coming along nicely and is a very comfortable car to drive.Comment

Installed the G25-660 .61 AR turbo and I am on the fence if I will run the 660 or the 550.
The 660 spools up quicker than the borg warner, that was originally on the engine, but slower than the 550, so a bit more lag down low, but pulls harder when in it gets spooled up.
It’s not about how much hp the engine makes, but the response for me. The difference between the 550 & 660 is about a 100 hp. Both turbos are 24 lbs (2.2 bar) on 96 octane and on 100 octane we can run 32 lbs of boost. I will drive the 660 for a while and then decide if I keep it on the car or put the 550 back on.Comment

The Audi is an on going refinement. After a valiant attempt by Pete Knight on building a speed sensor to convert the signal from the 01E 6 speed trans to the Audi OEM digital dash, which kinda worked and Pete was ready to continue on the quest. I decide to go a bit more modern while keeping the stock dash appearance.
I purchased the AIM MXT 1.3 Strada 10" display. The display has both street and track capability. The street display includes indicators for turn signals, high beam, fuel, warning lights etc. the display allows (8) icons to be set for different inputs. I created icons for parking brake, fog lights, driving lights, running lights.
The amount of information in the screen is 10x fold over the old school dash. Plus I can switch between several screens depending on my mood.
My buddy Nels helped me with the programming, fortunately the Plex display configuration in Motec more or less moved over to the AIM display.
I sent the plastic dash switch surround, cluster dash cover and the Audi digital display off to a guy that is going to 3d scan all the pieces and increase the hieght of the surround and dash cover to fit the new AIM display. When finished, the cluster should look just like OEM, but with a modern twist.

Made new panels for the center console and added cup holders. Top panel has the windows switches, seat warmers, USB/ C, Baja Design driving lights and the boost control.
