Feeling good and then!!!

Hi guys,

Feeling good this afternoon, picked up the car from a my weldind man and he has done a few bits for me today.

Sorted teh piping out for the intercooler and also placed the PSP on the exhaust manifold side. It is a bit close (as in a finger gap) away from the manifold but I can redo all teh pipes to take that into account. Shouldn't cause a problem. He also chopped bo's intercooler mount a little int eh corner to give a large bit of adjustment for belt purposes,

willl sort some pics of the manifold out tomorow for you dude. I have got soem somewhere but have got to go ot work!!!
Hopefully get the pipes off and sorted to get the PAS pump up and running by the end of thursday.
Just a query though!

Getting closer guys,

Front bumper back on after a small bit of chopping, got to loose the front bumper vents if anyone wants them please PM me, it was the only way the pipes for the IC would go behind in
Hey ho life goes on.

Now , still got the idle to sort but hopefully be able to get it mapped with the ISV unconnected and sort it when the Wizard (you know who he is from Ben's brake thread!!!!) gets back from his hols and has time to play with the car!!!!

Just got to get the catch tank fitted (got all the braided pipes I want now) and attatch the feed line to the Pspump. Then give it a little run and change the turbo to the RS2 one and off we go!!!!!

One week hopefully (taking away the Idle sort time) but one week!!!

NOt much to tell off. Will lift the bonnet tomorow and get some pics for you. Looking to go a bit all change due to a problem with teh powersterring pump position. The fluid is getting to hot with it right next to the EM and causing problems methinks with steering etc so waitng to here from aronmatic about his chopped manifold clearing the psp. then probably another bit of building to do and some tidying up of the cables...

Will still pop a pick up for you.
Not going to fit the RS2 turbo any more as I have an urgent need to sort the bodywork out as the passengers door is starting to get a bit rusty under the bump trim.... So that needs fixing before winter.
Other than that still sourcing an idle problem and a fixing of the psp leak whic is another reason for the move back to the IM side if poss. (easier to get to)
Will try to pop up in the afternoon of the RRday on sat if you are there you can take a peak and have a laugh....

Yeah should be there, just been looking thru the thread, tempted by your Rs2 turbo just i've already allocated my funds for this month so couldn't afford it till next. Did you ever spray/change your roof lining or is it still the standard one?

All still in the process.

Lots to do to it still but the exterior is the one at the moment as well as finishing off the engine problems and getting a remap.
Interior is the last to do and I have seats on order so that is the last of my worries at the mo. GOt to get the mechanics right.

Just fitted an S2 airbox to try to deaden some of the recirc noise as it sounds like I have an atmospheric valve on ... Just got to get my mits on a decent filter now.
Any decent ones out there?

Well that has tidied the engine bay up a bit and definatley lost the recirc noise now
Well almost !!!!

Just need to get a decent filter in there so the car can breath a bit easier. Just got a bog paper one in there atm....
Thoughts?
Do pipercross make one????

Could try demon tweeks and see what they can do for you, lol the recirc noise was quite ammusing tho, have you noticed any difference in pickup/performance going back to a box?

What sort of seats you going for?

If you are using a stock airbox, then the best filter is an OEM paper one.

It has been proven many times that OEM paper filters flow at virtually the same rate as all these 'performance' filters, but have a much longer life and is more stable, so the 3% gain you get from a K&N is lost after just a few days
