Right, Got the IM in today. That was a mission and a half

Fist of all the 893 721 555 R throttle cable was a tad short:

Managed to extend it a bit so it fits properly now with the peddle in good position too.

Got almost all the pipe work done too. Just need to finish off the air line for the ISV tomorrow.

It was a tight squeeze in there but after re cutting most of the pipes it seams to fit ok

I think when i change the engines over ill get a custom sized throttle cable, it would look better to route it around the back of the IM and not straight over the top.

          Last shot for now...

Piping is 60mm OD with 3mm walls, all Stainless 316 grade.
Inter Cooler is biggest that will fit under there with out any major butchering.

I took out the carbon canister and one way valve from the petrol expiation tank too and ran new breather pipe out the RHS rear boot vent. ( thanks for the pointers Stu )

Its all fitted now and and running strong. Even though there is still a boost leak somewhere as the needle seems to flicker a bit in 4th and 5th when at WOT.

Boost is peaking at 1.6bar now in 5th and its pulling way harder in 2nd and 3rd.

The Reverse IM has made a massive difference. Would be interesting to see what it reaches on a rolling road with still the stock turbo and only generic chips.

I earthed one cable at the back of the IM where the Carbon canister valve usually goes and one on the Fuel rail. There was no deicated earth points on the IM, does this sound ok?

                Couple of pics:

                  Thinks...

Wouldn't the intercooler pipework be better in aluminium, rather then ss as alli dissipates heater better than ss?

Or you going for the polished bling look?

Na, don't worry the air is not that hot once its has passed through that monster cooler Also, im not to keen on some of the alloy pipes i have seen, especially when they start buckling under the pressure of the clips.

And yes. SS is may more bling

Sorry, I mean Traverse. I do not know the English word for it. It's the bar where you hang up your IC and sits in front of the engine.

Is it the same IC that somebody on their S4/6, there is a link on here somewhere?
