Right updates

Wow what a week, since last friday (6 days ago i think) i have been working my nut off on my s2's. None of this 9 till 5 rubbish. This was 8 till gone 10pm almost every day!

Got a lot done though as you can see from the pics below.

As a summery. I removed the engine from the white s2 and put it in to the red s2, i also replaced both power steering racks and hundreds upon hundreds of pounds worth of parts. The above was also accomplished by plenty of swearing. Stu came to help once evening too. Thanks Stu!

Just out of interest how much is a new rack and is it still the servotronic one's?

Surprised you ain't got a hoist, they're cheap enough and could have done the engine in one go.

COming on nicely there Bo. How you planning on getting two S2's to GTI though?

Rack is only reconditioned not actually new, Should be good as new now though. I think the repair kit was about £50.

I planned to get a hoist but didnt sort it out in time, also i dont think it would have been that easy to fit it in one go, not with the exhaust and gearbox to line up.

Test fitted the head, then removed it again and fitted the turbo to the EM, refitting the head to the block and lining up the exhaust was a PITA after that. Got it all on though.
