            Er ...no...er...

Haven't decided on my loom or ecu at the moment...

You should only need to get connectors and bodies to mate up to the original loom, the last link was the coil connectors plus wiring...i'm hoping...running abit blind as i dont have an aby to scrutinize...

s2central should be able to help with parts as he has been doing a lot of searching lately on Bosch connecors and crimp terminals.

            HTH...

            Little bit more info here.

            Carlos.

Look up the guides for the 1.8T coilpack conversion. Most of the wiring details are there, you just need to change the coilpack connector for the LS2 version.

Here are pics of my D585 coil conversion on a US 95 S6, I didn't want to install the coils using alot of splices so I sourced all new connectors, heat resistant sheathing, etc.

Next on the agenda is to purchase some cable seperators to keep the spark plug cables neat, and to remove the coils
from the cover and reinstall the cover.

I wanted to be able to replace one coil without completely disassembling an entire bracket, here is the bracket I
                came up with.

It is currently hanging from the strut tie bar, but I am planning on making support brackets that would bolt to the
firewall via the factory's wireing harness bracket. I should be able to mount a cover on top of this bracket
(the top mounts would be gone)

Looks like you are planning on using the Delphi D581 coils, highly recommend
you use the Delphi D585 coils instead, they use the same connector but are
a more powerful longer life coil.

The coils are for GM Yukons and other cars, they are Delphi D585 coils otherwise
known as LS2 coils. The seller I purchased from is out of them but you can get
                        them other places.

forum meber Marc Swanson - a4kquattro. owner of the V8 tt coupe, FEMS guru, owns http://www.efiexpress.com/catalog/ he doesn't list the coils as a seperate item, but I know that he will.

Also he has a kit which includes a wiring harness making it plug n play.

Since i've joined the masses of the 'great unwashed'...

A little more work has got done:-

De-flashed the block, drilled the oil drain and had the bores checked (minimal wear of 1 thou. good to go on this block).

Custom pistons are being worked on wth Aelreds help.

25MM cam pulley has been modded and bought myself a special cam sensor which should be fully compatible with the ecu signal.

Next job is to check the bore clearance with the 92.8 crank and the Scat rods.
